Historia
When you have to kill the same terrorist twice in one week there’s either something wrong with your world or something wrong with your skills - and there’s nothing wrong with Joe Ledger’s skills. And that’s both a good and a bad thing. It’s good because he’s a Baltimore detective who has just been secretly recruited by the government to lead a new task force created to deal with the problems that Homeland Security can’t handle....

Zombie fans will like it!
Revisado: 04-20-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. This book offers a twist to the usual zombie story. It also brings in characters that travel well to the other books. The narrator is really good. He is Joe Ledger and really has the story down and the mannerisms that make a character come to life.
What other book might you compare Patient Zero to and why?
All of the Joe Ledger books. Each one offers a little more about Joe and why he is the way he is.
Have you listened to any of Ray Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I think my favorite is in the beginning when Joe is interacting with those that will become part of his team. They have no idea who he is and they are arguing amongst themselves over who will be leader. I got a kick out of the way Joe jumped in, kicked ass and everyone fell into their places in the squad.
Any additional comments?
I think the Joe Ledger books are a must for zombie and horror fans.

Historia
Four-year degree in business.Trained in hand-to-hand combat. Works well with zombies. This is the resume of the last mailman on Earth. It is the near future, and the modern world we knew has been overrun and destroyed by reanimated corpses who hunt humans for food. Mankind has retreated to small pockets of civilization and practically surrendered to these walking dead. But one man routinely leaves behind the safety and comfort of his home in this new world in order to find the people and things we’ve long abandoned.

Not so bad..........
Revisado: 04-17-12
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I think I would have added a few more zombies. But over all, this wasn't too bad. Original story line.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I liked the idea of having a "mailman" in a post apocolyptic world. Some characters were a little dry, but for the most part it all went together well.
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Yes. Nice voice work, good speaker.
Did The Last Mailman inspire you to do anything?
buy a gun.............just in case.
Any additional comments?
potentially worth a credit if you are a zombie fan

“In the Forests of the Night” is from the Hugo and Audie Award-nominated METAtropolis, an intelligent and stunning creation of five cutting-edge science-fiction writers, performed by an amazing cast of elite narrators and stars from TV’s Battlestar Galactica. METAtropolis takes place in a future where cities have transformed or died, and technologists, eco-survivalists, and civilization itself vie for continued existence.

Doesn't matter that it is free, should be no stars

I am over an hour into this and have no clue what is going on. The narrator sounds like he is on the verge of falling asleep. The story is so disjointed that it is impossilbe to follow. I can't and won't finish this book. I would rather listen to finger nails on a chalk board for 2 hours and 15 minutes. At least then I would understand the point and get something out of the experience. Listening to this book is like talking to someone that does not have the ability to focus on anything for more than a few seconds. Free or not, this is just not worth it.

The narraator is absolutley horrible! I think my 5 year granddaughter would do a better job. The author asks you to make way to many assumptions in order for the story to flow. He should have won 1st prize for worst book ever! I gave it one star because i couldn't give it zero. Can I get my money back?

Horrible
Revisado: 03-23-09
I hated this book and only listened to it because I spent money on it. The narrator puts you to sleep and the story is so disjointed that you end up believing that the author is mentally ill and passed it onto his characters. Do not get this book. It is the worst I have ever listened to. Maybe if Fran Drescher read it to me, it might have been some what entertaining.
