Historia
Aaron Fortin is new in town. He drives a brand-new Acura—a gift from his parents for uprooting him in the middle of senior year. Showing up on his first day at the local public school in that nice of a car? He knows he’ll never blend in, and he doesn’t care to try. The car, the new-kid mystique, he can use all that.... Crystal Giordano carpools to the same school in her friend Trevor’s beat-up van. In the van along with Crystal and Trevor are Paul, Harmony, and Gayle. Crystal’s technically part of their misfit group, but most of the time, she feels like she’s the only one who doesn’t fit.

Chilling and Engaging
Revisado: 02-27-25
I don't typically read these kinds of books, but this one had me on the edge of my seat. It's creepy because of how realistic it is. This author has a talent for writing character voices. All of the characters felt real and distinct. Being in Aaron's head was so fascinating and disturbing that it had me wondering if the author was a psychopath.
The narrators were perfectly selected and fit the characters. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the end. You are still left with questions, and it felt a bit rushed. It's definitely worth the read, though.

Historia
March has arrived, meaning there’s only one month left in the third term. Mai’s graduation has come and gone. This might be a time for change, but that isn’t nearly enough to explain why Sakuta meets a little girl who looks just like Mai did when she was a child actress. Before he can even begin to unravel this fresh mystery, his father calls. Their family hasn’t lived together since Kaede was bullied. Two long years later, their mother says she wants to see her daughter. What’s changed, and what’s stayed the same? There’s only one way to find out.

This series is wholesome in general, but, as a mom, this one put a smile on my face. You really get to see Sakuta's growth and it's been so nice following along on his journey and seeing him mature. Excited to read the next book.

Sakuta had been ready to give up his life, but nothing could have prepared him to keep living like this. Now he must find a way to carry on even when it feels like tomorrow will never come. And even if it does, why should he care when the love of his life is already gone? Of course, he can always count on Shouko to show him the way forward in his darkest hour, just like she did all those years ago. As he gathers the strength and courage Mai gave him, Sakuta readies himself to do whatever it takes to rewrite the past.

This is by far the most emotional book of the series so far. Don't want to ruin it for anyone. Just read it and see for yourself.

Not for dummies - but useful guide
Revisado: 05-12-24
To understand the information in this book, I feel like you need to have some basic knowledge of biology already and a seasoned vocab. I had to look a few things up (as a true dummy). But I did learn a lot. Better used as a guide than to actually learn microbiology from. I like that you can skip around to whatever sections you need.

I didn't want to let Sam go either 😭
Revisado: 05-04-24
This is probably one of the most emotional books I've read. Seeing Sam through the eyes of Julie and how much they loved each other, I felt like I was a part of their journey as well. I wanted so badly for them to have their happily ever after. I've struggled with grief and loss too, and this book paints the struggle of letting go so well. Still feeling emotional as I write this review.

Historia
Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer—they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one wonderful and terrible summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.

For YAs
Revisado: 04-24-24
I looooved these books when I was 15. Conrad was the misunderstood bad boy I used to swoon for, and I wished I was Belly. As an adult, I realize how young these characters actually are, and how questionable their choices were 😬. The author captures the teenage voice well. A great book for teens about love, hardships, and growing up.
I appreciated that they got Belly's actress to narrate the book too, but I thought she sounded a little too bubbly. The majority of the book it sounds like she's on the verge of laughter. Maybe if I watch the show, I'll have a different opinion.

Historia
Lara Jean is having the best senior year a girl could ever hope for. She is head over heels in love with her boyfriend, Peter; her dad's finally getting remarried to their next door neighbor, Ms. Rothschild; and Margot's coming home for the summer just in time for the wedding. But change is looming on the horizon. And while Lara Jean is having fun and keeping busy helping plan her father's wedding, she can't ignore the big life decisions she has to make. Most pressingly, where she wants to go to college and what that means for her relationship with Peter.

Great Narrator - OK Love Story
Revisado: 04-16-24
Ali Ahn did an amazing job on this series. She really brought it to life. Story wise I was left feeling a little unsatisfied. It's hard to root for the couple when they keep breaking up. Truthfully, I'm not sure they're a good match. Lara Jean is too indecisive and Peter deserves better - but they are teenagers so that kind of drama is realistic. Overall, I liked the book and the cast. Was engaged the entire time.

In fact, it becomes a friendly annual tradition—with rules: no pics, no real names, nothing too personal. As years pass, the rules for their email “dates” are breaking, and they’re sharing more than they imagined—including the urge to ask…what if we actually met?

Revisado: 02-29-24
A sweet, short, and fun listen. I love the witty exchanges between the two characters. Did not expect it to take such a spicy turn, but it was tastefully done. I was not disappointed at all when they met up.

Historia
Buckhead isn’t a place you live, it’s a place you survive. And that applies even to the wealthy housewives that have it all. Fancy cars, designer clothes, and daily salon appointments aren’t nearly enough to keep them fulfilled and happy. Because in this town, privilege and opulence go hand in hand with betrayal and revenge. Jenny, the owner of Glow, an exclusive membership-only beauty salon, knows that better than anyone, because she knows everything about these housewives—down to each individual strand of hair.

I read the book first before listening to the audio book and both are good. I thought the voices were suitable. Highly reccommended if you like fantasy and romance. Really strong characters that could exist in real life.
