Historia
A Season on the Brink chronicles the basketball season that John Feinstein spent following the Indiana Hoosiers and their fiery coach, Bob Knight. Knight granted Feinstein an unprecedented inside look at college basketball - with complete access to every moment of the season. Feinstein saw and heard it all - practices, team meetings, strategy sessions, and mid-game huddles - during Knight's struggle to avoid a losing season.

Great book and interesting look at Bonny kight

Other then then bill Simmons book of basketball (which I know bears no resemblance then this story) this is my favorite basketball book. Better then b"Breaks of the Game in my opinion. The storytelling was excellent, and I could feel the players pain as the coach swung back and forth in his mood and his tactile emotional outburst (although sometimes he did come across
As almost bipolar in his demeanor). As someone who was only 2 years old when this season happened, and therefore didn't know what was going to happen for each game or the season as whole, I was disappointed when Feinstein would tell the result of the games (or at one point even the season) before the event even happened. This ended some of the suspense that was building up. I know more then anything though this was a look of the characters that made up the season (rather then the actual results of a game) so still a great read. Definitely recommend!

From the outrageously filthy and oddly innocent comedienne and star of the powerful 2015 film I Smile Back Sarah Silverman comes a memoir—her first book—that is at once shockingly personal, surprisingly poignant, and still pee-in-your-pants funny. If you like Sarah's television show The Sarah Silverman Program, or memoirs such as Chelsea Handler's Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea and Artie Lange's Too Fat to Fish, you'll love The Bedwetter.

Amazing start, slows down by the end
Revisado: 06-18-15
The first half of the book was super interesting and showed a side that was funny, introspective, and kind in the midst of some pretty crazy life events. She balanced very tough stories with a moment of humor put in at just the right time. The second half (post mid-point break) was entertaining but didn't have me locked in like the first half. Still overall an enjoyable book that shows the thinking of (as she might say) a very three dimensional person.

Ok... Not Chuck at his best
Revisado: 06-14-15
The common thread between excerpts is not as clear as his other titles which I very much enjoyed. The last short story which lasted for about 20% of the book was completely out of left field and could have been left off. I recommend going with his later texts if you are a fan of the former BS report guest (RIP BS Report)

Historia
In I Wear the Black Hat, Klosterman questions the very nature of how modern people understand the concept of villainy. What was so Machiavellian about Machiavelli? Why don't we see Batman the same way we see Bernhard Goetz? Who's more worthy of our vitriol - Bill Clinton or Don Henley? What was O.J. Simpson's second-worst decision? Masterfully blending cultural analysis with self-interrogation and limitless imagination, I Wear the Black Hat delivers perceptive observations on the complexity of the anti-hero.

Appreciating Chuck more and more
Revisado: 04-05-15
From a disliked guest on the BS report to a personal favorite and appreciated story teller. Chuck Klosterman has finally won me over with his humorous and thought provoking examples from pop culture, music, history, and sports to make bigger points on life. Sometimes you're not sure where he is going to land the plane at the early stages of each chapter, but by the end he always finds a way to do so.
