Historia
We've all been there: used, lied to, or cheated on. But what do you do when enough is enough? You don't cry, you get even! Bien-Aime Wenda presents a compilation of stories of the scorned, including a hopeless romantic, the token nice guy, a submissive wife, the celebrity couple, the hood chick, a mayor's wife, and more. Each refuse to wait on karma but instead decide to seek justice on their own terms.

Vain and profane
Revisado: 02-28-22
It is all sex and swears. Not very engaging. I wish there was anything more to the story. It shows how desperate all people are for meaning and acceptance, and how nothing under heaven provides.

Historia
The Holy War tells the story of Mansoul, a utopia built to exalt the greatness and honor of its creator and leader, King Shaddai. However, when the wicked Diabolus, a former high servant of Shaddai's and the king of the blacks, assaults Mansoul, the town forgets its benevolent king and falls under his iniquitous rule. With the citizens of his beloved city lost to sin and vice, Shaddai sends his son, Prince Emmanuel, to deliver them from Diabolus' tyranny.

Historia
For 300 years, The Pilgrim's Progress has remained perhaps the best-loved and most read of devotional fictions. In plain yet powerful and moving language, Bunyan tells the story of Christian's struggle to attain salvation and the Gates of Heaven. He must pass through the Slough of Despond, ward off the temptations of Vanity Fair, and fight the monstrous Apollyon. In Part II, his wife and children follow the same path, helped and protected by Great-heart, until for them, too, "the trumpets sound on the other side."

Great book, great reader, great theology.
Revisado: 05-04-20
David Shaw-Parker has done an excellent job narrating this. John Bunyan has done a greater job in writing it! The imagery is vivid, the calls, challenging, and the truth, biblical. If you are a Christian reading this I highly encourage you take up this book (not to exceed or replace the Bible, but as an ecouraging companion to your studies). If you do not know Christ I cannot say you will enjoy this book because in truth I do not know. I will plead with you, be reconciled to God. For he says his wrath is on the wicked, (as I would lay apart from Christ) and all liars will have their part in the lake of fire, no thief, or adulterer will enter into the kingdom of Heaven, yet God being rich in mercy came to take the just punishment you and I deserved so that at our repentance Christ becomes our Lord and he saves us. It is real, Christ really lived, really died, was really witnessed and attested to (to the point of the testators dying rather than denying; they knew what they saw.) And Christ really will do a work in your heart if you surrender to him. I hope you will, and then on your walk, I hope this book will encourage you too.
Great to listen to. I will have to hear it again soon.
