Historia
Who do you trust? Who can you depend on? James Beltz's modern-day gunslinger, known to the rest of us as DJ Slaughter, returns in this thrilling sequel. Book one left us with a massive cliffhanger. Book two serves to answer all of your burning questions in the very first chapter. However, in a sudden, neck-snapping plot twist, you will only be left with more questions. Nice job, James. Very nice job indeed... The first book was a break-neck pace of thrilling adventure, reminding this reviewer of the first season of the Fox TV series "24".

Sit on the edge of your seat for much of the book. Definitely root for the "good guy".

Historia
Rebecca Reis considers abandoning her career as a novelist until she begins writing about convicted serial killer Thomas Eisenbrey. Nicknamed the Hunter because of his penchant for targeting groups of hunters in the forest, Eisenbrey is the worst kind of psychopath. He is crafty, aloof, at times possessing a charm that is almost hypnotizing, and he's wheedling his way into her mind.

Cringe worthy.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
No. I can't imagine my friends would want to listen to this all the way to the end. The main character is weak. I could not get the least bit connected to her. I can't imagine listening to another of the series as I'm not really interested in seeing what happens to the group.
Would you ever listen to anything by Amara Draska again?
Perhaps, if it's not in the Eisenbrey series. Amara seems to have a knack for writing but unless she changes this main character, I'm not interested.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
I really disliked the "darlin" speak of Eisenbrey. There was NOTHING likable about him and his (her) accent was grating.
Do you think The Way Evil Does needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No. I've already stated why.
Any additional comments?
This was a hard book to listen to all the way through but since this is specially for the author's benefit to see what we like or not, I finally got all the way through. I love audible books as it lets me listen while I work or drive instead of just sitting reading but this book was sort of a waste of time. I'm actually sorry I didn't like it.

The Good The Bad and The Ugly...
Revisado: 03-15-12
Where does Steve Jobs rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
More interesting on a current level. I live in the community and was directly affected by his existence.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Steve Jobs?
Getting a glimpse of his vulnerabilities.
What about Dylan Baker’s performance did you like?
It was ok.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No. In bits was good enough as it was quite long but you don't forget where you left off.
Any additional comments?
I so appreciate his life and I'm so glad I'm not a person like him.
