Historia
When Rowan stumbles across an ad for a live-in nanny, she’s looking for something else completely. But it seems like too good an opportunity to miss - with a staggeringly generous salary. And when she arrives at Heatherbrae House, she is smitten - by the luxurious "smart" house fitted out with all modern conveniences, by the beautiful Scottish Highlands, and by this picture-perfect family. What Rowan doesn’t know is that she’s stepping into a nightmare - one that will end with a child dead and Rowan in prison awaiting trial for murder.

Great listen, sometimes feels like too much detail, but very entertaining. Imogen Church does an exceptional job of ready this story.

Historia
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

Well done, once again!
Revisado: 09-14-23
This was, as most King’s novels exceptionally well written. The narrator has a soothing, easy voice to listen to and makes the characters come to life. I am not a fan of supernatural, but this one peaked my interest.

Historia
For most of the last hundred years, Biloxi was known for its beaches, resorts, and seafood industry. But it had a darker side. It was also notorious for corruption and vice, everything from gambling, prostitution, bootleg liquor, and drugs to contract killings. The vice was controlled by small cabal of mobsters, many of them rumored to be members of the Dixie Mafia.

Enjoyable well delivered story
Revisado: 12-27-22
I liked this book, for some reason, not as much as some of the others. Could have been just me, not the right mind frame. It seemed long and I don’t usually feel that way about his books. Well done though, as always. A true expert in story telling!

The cathedral town of Lafferton seems idyllic, but in many ways it is just like any other place. As part of the same rapidly changing world, it shares the same hopes and fears, and the same kinds of crime, as any number of towns up and down the land. When one day DC Simon Serrailler is called in by Lafferton's new Chief Constable, Kieron Bright, he is met by four plainclothes officers. He is asked to take the lead role in a complex, potentially dangerous undercover operation and must leave town immediately.

Great story - a little hard to follow
Revisado: 09-20-22
I enjoyed the storyline, but found for an audible it was a little hard to follow the timeline. Perhaps, I was not in the right frame of mind or not paying attention, but I found myself struggling to get which person had which baby and who was married to who? A lot of characters. Well read and nicely written.
