Scarpetta sounds pissed off at everyone and stuck up all the time, not sure if that was a flaw in narration or Scarpetta’s new attitude. The storyline seemed to go on and on, and then all of a sudden it wrapped up, explained apparently what happened, and it was over. I was so confused.

This book is based vastly on press accounts and interviews of Heath during his life. It is mildly biographical, but there is way too much quoting of reporters and not enough "the story of Heath Ledger's life." If you're looking for a good biography, this is not it. Also the narrator's attempt to adjust his Aussie accent as he quotes others is a bit unsettling.

Great story! Bring back Kate Reading as narrator!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is a great new Scarpetta novel with plenty of twists and turns.

How could the performance have been better?

This narration is hard to follow. I agree with other reviewers that the quirky personality of Scarpetta is lost. Kate Reading did such a better job of capturing the characters, their personalities, and regional accents.

Great, engaging book, not good narration

I loved this story, not a huge tennis fan, but always liked Agassi. The book is definitely long, but truly engaging and interesting. I could not stand the narrator. His voice was breathy and whiny, he uses the same one manly voice for all the male characters, and the same goofy girly voice for all the women, making otherwise strong women sound ridiculous. If the book had not been so good, I would have given up. It would have been nice to hear the book read by Andre himself, but alas. Otherwise wonderful insight and an amazingly detailed autobiography from a legend.
