Wow! This podcast hooked me!
Revisado: 06-30-23
The depravity of humanity continues to outdo itself. Amanda and Cory are disgusting human beings and I hope that karma was paying attention. Most have us have lost a loved one to cancer. We watched a beautiful, lively, healthy person suffer just to survive. We watch them waste away, one day worse than the next. We had amazing people that the world was better for them being here be taken to soon. Knowing someone is experiencing that makes empathy surge. When a person is young, and has small children, that empathy escalates. People will donate money that they can’t afford, even to a perfect stranger because they empathize so deeply. They are not only thieves, but they are emotional rapists. These hood people who donated are now jaded. Their trusting hearts may now doubt others who are truly sick. This may stop them from helping others who really need it. They manipulated Jess’s, and inflicted emotional trauma on her and her mother. They created a financial burden on Jessa’s mother as well. Shame on the both of them. I only wish Amanda was given the maximum sentence, and that Cory was charged as well. He was absolutely part of this. This was a well told story. The hank you!

This story invokes the entire spectrum of emotions
Revisado: 06-17-23
What a crazy story. I had to binge it because I just needed to find out the truth. I empathisized with these boys, but grew angry at Tom (Kyle) because clearly his little brother was on the brink of death. What was going through his head? At some point, enough is enough, and his brother's life should have come first. I was left wondering what the boys were doing, and where they were living between the time they left California, and when they just popped up, playing with the pay phone and buying fruit. Had they been in Canada the entire time, had they tried manipulating people in another town first, did they plan all of this out? There was just kind of a void there in an otherwise excellent story. I am intrigued by Chameleon now, and will be checking out some others!

Historia
It was supposed to be a reality show with a twist. In a sun-drenched villa in Ibiza, six hot guys compete for a cash prize and for the love of the beautiful and mysterious Miriam. It’s meant to be her big break: the moment she becomes the superstar she was born to be. But this is the era of “cruel reality TV” and the show producers have a different goal: they want to surprise the men with the fact that Miriam is trans. A new six-episode investigative series from Wondery, the makers of The Shrink Next Door and The Apology Line, and from Novel, HARSH REALITY is the story about love, lies, ...

A disturbing look into the depravity of humanity
Revisado: 05-17-23
Miriam and the men recruited for this game show were nothing more than dollar signs and ratings to these people. They should be ashamed of themselves. This was a well presented podcast, and I binged the whole thing today. It's so very sad to hear when anyone's life is cut so short.

Heartbreaking Story
Revisado: 04-19-23
This story is told in a professional and informative manner. There is a human element that makes it relatabled. It's hard to believe the horrors that are commited by some people while hiding behind the Lord. They will answer for their crimes, and their punishment will be worse that any prison time here on Earth. I had no idea this had happened, and I thank you for sharing the story of yet another horrific injustice that white people inflicted upon the native population of north america. I am so thankful that my ancestors were recent immigrants to this country because I don't want to know that type of evil is within my bloodline.

Left me shocked and disgusted
Revisado: 03-14-23
This story is another example that proves that the love of money is the root of all evil. The sanctity of life has nothing on the almighty dollar. To intentionally manipulate these people who have already endured the heartache that comes with infertility, the financial burden infertility treatments put on their family and who are so very desperate to have a child of their own is reprehensible. Lock them up and throw away the key.

***Fox News Investigates explores a new true crime story each season*** She had everything going for her: A good job, close friends, a loving family, a boyfriend and a brand new condo. Her family describes her as a strong, fun-loving, career-minded, and responsible young woman. So why did Jennifer Kesse seemingly vanish without a trace? On the morning of Tuesday, January 24, 2006, Jennifer Kesse failed to show up for work at Central Florida Investments, where she was a finance manager. Jennifer was known for her reliability, but on that winter morning 14 years ago, nobody heard from Jen. ...

Heartbreaking & Intense Story
Revisado: 03-09-23
My heart aches for the Kesse family, I wish I could hug them all right now, as I wept several times just trying to imagine the pain of not only losing a daughter, but how she was taken always in the back of the family's minds, and the fact that this killer or killers walk free today, probably leaving more devastated families in his/their wake. I have no doubt her killer was among the maintenace staff employed at her complex. It seems to me that the ownership of the complex did quite a bit of CYAing so as not to be liable for what happened to Jennifer, and that is the most disturbing part. The only part that confused me is why the family did not send their own dive team into the lake after their dog team had 2 dogs alert on that location. A lot can happen to a carpet with a body in it, in the murky lake waters of 14 years. The first search yielded nothing, and when the police came back out after the dog team hired by the Kesse's was out there, and their dogs did not hit they just washed their hands of it. The lake was not explored any further. Why didn't the Kesse's bring in their own dive team? Was it private property or something else that legally prevented them from doing so? The eyewitness story sent chills up my spine. I have no doubt there was a body in that carpet. It may not have been Jennifer, but it was a body. Why else would someone throw it in a lake? A regular ole dumpster would have done the trick for disposing of an unwanted rug. Maybe I was distracted during the explanation for this but otherwise I am just left wondering why this didn't happen. I truly hope they recover Jennifer's body at some point, and that the perpetrator is dealt justice here on earth for the Kesse's to witness, but they can be assured that he will face justice at the hand of our Maker in the end.

Excellent Investigative Work!
Revisado: 11-26-22
I binged this podcast because it was riveting. It is truly scary when truths are unraveled and secrets revealed about those we allow to have power in this country. Evil is everywhere, but to think that the chief of police of NYC had the power to do whatever, to whomever, and whenever he wanted, is horrifying. It's like asking Satan to protect you from his demons. This was an awesome deep dive into this story. It covered all angles, and explained details well. I can't wait for the next story!

Could have gotten deeper
Revisado: 11-26-22
From the trailer I really thought this podcast was going to show hard evidence backing Gacy being a part of a human trafficking sex ring. There was no aha moment showing a connection. Being from Chicago, I remember watching the execution in a bar with my classmates and instructor (we were criminal justice majors). My instructor who was a 25 year veteran detective made statements that night that he did not believe Gacy acted alone, and that he felt this was much bigger than this man alone. Since then, I have read, and listened to everything I can find on Gacy, and I agree that there is a good possibility he took some huge secrets to his grave that left a lot of disgusting evil beings to continue to torture, rape, imprison, and eventually kill many more innocent people. I wish that this would have dug a little deeper and looked for those connections.
