This was a great ending to the series! I loved the way things were brought together (and the cameos!) and how we got to learn so much more about fire mage lore. This might be my favorite of the series! I received a review copy from the author, but these are my honest thoughts.

Another exciting installment!

This series started intense and continues the same way! While the beginning was a little slow, it was a good look at how the world of the fire mages worked and quickly picks up, leaving me yearning for the next one.

This was a great opening for a new series! I'm so glad to be back in the elementals world. My only complaint was that I had forgotten some of the terminology and would have appreciated a quick reminder at the beginning, so it was a steep curve to remember as I read. It really expected you to have read the previous book (which I did) and perhaps the novella (which I missed until now). Overall very excited to keep reading!

Beautiful end to the trilogy!

I really enjoyed this end to the trilogy! Ibby is one of my favorites, and it was really interesting to see where her power came from and have her come into her own. Also, Marcus! I also like the clear lead-in to more in the world, so it's nice knowing she's not done and may show up somewhere else. Really enjoyed this!

A cute fantasy with cool magic!

I enjoyed listening to this series. The narrator was fantastic, and it was interesting to see the characters grow, especially Kit. I also really loved the different types of magic, especially the flora magic. I do feel like it was a little slow toward the beginning and kind of a typical high fantasy romance, but it was still really well done, and I enjoyed listening. Well written book

I have a lot of feelings on this one, and some of them are for personal reasons. First, this was a great narrator and I really liked Milo and felt a connection to him. The world building was also fascinating.

However, I can't say I loved this one. I almost stopped with 2 hours to go because there's a trope in here I have no tolerance for, the mad scientist. And I get the themes that were being explored. But I am a scientist, and I find that trope offensive and harmful to public opinions of science. Had I known, I probably would have passed on the book.

Do with that what you will, but if you read it I hope it connects to you. I listened to a review copy, but these are my honest opinions.

Good story

I really enjoyed this story and its unique take on Snow White! I thought the intrigue and the romance were very well written. I did struggle quite a bit with the narrator, as it was hard to listen to at first and only grew on me enough to finish it, but given the choice, I would probably read this one instead of listening in the future. I listened to a review copy, but these are my honest opinions.
