it hits home
Revisado: 02-21-25
My momma, grandmother were raised in eastern Kentucky. Much reminded me of them. But sadly toward the end it turned political & the TDS came out. How sad to ruin a good book with an unnecessary political view. This was written before 2024, so we know Eastern Kentucky voted Trump. Should have skipped that.

twist & turns
Revisado: 01-09-25
I enjoyed the twist & turns. It was well writtened & presented. However, as with to many books & movies, it has no clear ending. I suppose we are left to make up our own ending. Discuss it among ourselves.

Magnificent
Revisado: 01-14-23
From the first page to the last this story is both educational and entertaining. As always the author is superb in his storytelling & the narrator makes you forget there is only one person telling a story. He becomes the characters.

Moved quickly. Interesting twist. I like these originals because they aren't so long and can be listened to on a short trip or before falling asleep.

A Glimpse Back
Revisado: 03-31-22
This story points out how things have changed. How we address PTSD & domestic violence. Great look at survival in Alaska. Totally different life. Alaska is made up of people who are running to or running away from something. The negative was being upset over Matthew's poor decision. Also narrator should have researched more on how an 8 year old boy sounds.

As a young attorney under Nicolae Ceausescu's brutal communist regime, Virginia had spent her entire life searching for the truth.
