Historia
Millions of people climb the grand marble staircase to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art every year. But only a select few have unrestricted access to every nook and cranny. They’re the guards who roam unobtrusively in dark blue suits, keeping a watchful eye on the two million square foot treasure house. Caught up in his glamourous fledgling career at The New Yorker, Patrick Bringley never thought that he’d be one of them.

Taking Me To The Met
Revisado: 02-21-25
I love that he narrated his book! No one can read, and feel, a book better than its own author. What a wonderful therapy after losing his brother. I love art, but this is SO much more than a bunch of paintings and sculptures. It actually helped me sort out some feelings from assorted losses in my own life. Congratulations on a book well written and well read!

Despite their successes, more than half the men were captured, tortured, and executed. After the war ended, a top-secret black ops unit was formed to hunt down the SS commanders who had murdered their special forces comrades....

So much more than a review of history
Revisado: 05-01-24
When I bought this book I had no idea how riveting it would be. I’m telling you, you’re right there with these SAS guys! The author paints such a realistic picture, and the narrator won’t let you pause for a breath. The final chapters are slower and a wrap up. Highly recommended!
