I loved everything. I was guessing the entire time. The romance that didn’t go too graphic, the intellect. The depth of character.

Historia
Molly Murphy is starting to think the cards are stacked against her. She's determined to be a private detective, but hampering her investigations is the fact that she's finding many places in turn-of-the-century New York City where women are not welcome, something that's as frustrating to her fiery Irish pride as it is to her rapidly emptying pocketbook. Then two business opportunities pop up simultaneously. An aristocratic family in Dublin fears their daughter has fled to the New World with her unsavory boyfriend, and they hire Molly to track the two down and send the young woman back home.

In love with this author!

I love the way this author makes her stories so believable. The subtle humor and main character’s feistiness is so entertaining. I am about to purchase my fourth book in four days. This makes housework and errands so much better.

Historia
Miss Honaria Honeyford was sent to London to save the family fortune by hunting a wealthy husband - and being a loving (if not entirely dutiful) daughter, she obeyed. But if she was reluctantly willing to surrender her hand, this beautiful young lady who could ride, shoot, and argue with any man was not about to lose her head or heart to the dismal dandies of the Marriage Mart. First she met the arrogantly attractive Lord Alistair Stewart, who treated her infuriatingly like a little girl. And then she met the skillfully seductive Lord Channington, who treated her intoxicatingly like a desirable woman....

I loved the story. The narrator was at times a little stiff but not so much that you couldn’t get past it. This is the first of two books and I’m definitely buying the next. It’s the fourth or fifth book by the authors and I have read and I hope to see more!
