Historia
This ALIEN story begins where most end: with a xenomorph loose on a damaged spaceship hurtling through space. Once a highly decorated marine, Chris Temple, a recently widowed single father to two young daughters, Jane, 11, and Emma, 8, is onboard. Despite his particular set of skills, Chris doesn’t get involved in the fight with the alien, instead focusing on keeping his children safe as the ship comes in for a crash landing.

Hard pass
Revisado: 08-14-24
Key element missing? The aliens. The plot could continue after the opening without the aliens. They don’t even return until halfway through the story. A bunch of characters just disappear and you don’t find out what happened to them. There hasn’t been a good Alien book in years and this one is destined for the bargain bin.

Historia
On Earth, political tensions boil over between the United Americas, Union of Progressive Peoples, and Three World Empire. Conflict spreads to the outer fringes, and the UK colony of New Albion breaks with the Three World empire. This could lead to a Colony War. Trapped in the middle are journalist Cher Hunt, scientist Chad McLaren, and the synthetic Davis. Cher, seeking to discover who caused the death of her sister, Shy Hunt, uncovers a far bigger story. McLaren’s mission, fought alongside his wife, is to stop the militarization of the deadliest weapon of all—the Xenomorph.

Way too boring
Revisado: 11-14-22
They have too many cliches that are forced. Don’t much care for the characters. The story tried to get you to care for some androids, but I cannot bring myself to. By the end, I did not care if some of them survived or not.

Too boring
Revisado: 11-14-22
It feels like they got multiple authors. Characters change randomly with little to no explanation. People make multiple mistakes only to not learn from them later.

Historia
Even before the doomed mission to Hadley’s Hope on LV-426, Jenette Vasquez had to fight to survive. Born to an immigrant family with a long military tradition, she looked up to the stars, but life pulled her back down to Earth—first into a street gang, then prison. The Colonial Marines proved to be Vasquez’s way out—a way that forced her to give up her twin children. Raised by Jenette’s sister, those children, Leticia and Ramon, had to discover their own ways to survive.

Not worth the hype
Revisado: 11-11-22
Story is jumping back and forth. Can’t focus on any one point. A lot of the characters have too much self pity to really relate to. Don’t have the aliens in the same plot until almost halfway through.
The narrator was boring. Little variation between character voices. Even human characters feel robotic.
