Historia
In the small Florida town of Seabrook, a young lawyer named Keith Russo was shot dead at his desk as he worked late one night. The killer left no clues. There were no witnesses, no one with a motive. Good storyline

We listened to this book immediately following "Crown Heights, by Colin Warner". More people need to know the injustice of the wrongfully convicted. Specifically anyone on that has been sent to death row for a crime they did not commit. More importantly the general public should hope to never know the injustice from firsthand experience by either themselves or a loved one.

Historia
The crime sent shock waves through the entire city. But for Boston homicide detective Michael Kelly, the case hits particularly close to home. Kelly was born and raised only a few blocks from where the girl’s body was found. He still has friends living in the old neighborhood. Some are cops. Others run the Irish mob.

Historia
Childhood friends from Trinidad, Colin Warner and Carl King grew into men on opposite sides of prison bars after Colin was arrested for murder in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. With no evidence against him, Colin was wrongfully convicted and wrongfully imprisoned for more than two decades. But time and walls could not break the friends' bond. Carl's extraordinary resolve, sacrifice, and courage were Colin's last rays of hope in a harrowing struggle for freedom and justice.

Sad but true
Revisado: 11-12-20
This was such a good book. What a wonderful world this would be if everyone had these types of friendships! I work in the Criminal Justice system and unfortunately and have seen firsthand that there are innocent individuals doing time for crimes they didn't commit. The system isn't perfect, and there should be a more timely process for righting the wrong convictions. Stories like this one should be the entire basis for abolishing the Death Penalty. If that isn't reason enough, the cost that goes into the automatic appeal process on death case convictions should be another good reason. Maybe if there weren't so many appeals working through the system the wrongfully convicted appellate process could work more smoothly.
