Overall good story line. I thought they could’ve left the love stuff out. I would say that it’s definitely on the tail end of the teen age bracket with that.

Not sure why you would change narrators mid series, but it was very hard to get through the book. He even pronounced names differently. Very disappointed.

This book is so dryly read. I can’t stand the fact that music was playing the entire time I listened to it. I couldn’t finish the book. I’m going to have to find another version because I love Agatha Christie books!

I didn’t like that I couldn’t listen in front of my kids because of the language. But the story is good. It reminded me of a Medical doctor version of James Harriet books.

We’ve listened to this book numerous times! I’m sure we’ll listen to it again! The stories of a little boy that works harder than most grown men today are inspiring and motivating. My 7 yr old son loves them all.

Mocking tradition methods of homeschooling

I wish I had read some of the reviews before purchasing. This wasn’t my favorite book. I think it simply came down to the reason we homeschool! We homeschool to teach our kids what and how we want them taught. I did feel like Julie was mocking certain styles of homeschooling and ways of life. Go read other reviews before purchasing. I agree with reasons others have given for not recommending this book.
