Historia
Following a piece of old rope, the girls find a large mound of freshly laid earth, undisturbed in the darkness of the trees. Clawing at the ground beneath them, they make contact with something solid. When they realize what they’ve discovered, the silence is broken by their piercing screams as they stare down at the shallow grave. Without looking back, they run as fast as they can, failing to spot the person nearby watching their every move….

Revisado: 12-01-20
I love every book in this series. I look forward to listening to each book. I can't wait for the next one. Alyson Campbell is one of my favorite narrators. She just knows how to make each caracter seem real.

For decades the Moore Asylum was home to the forgotten children of Brooklyn Bay. But ever since a scandal forced its closure, the abandoned building has cast an imposing shadow. Until now - when an elderly man is found dead, his body strapped to an ancient gurney. Good book

I really liked this book except for all the unnecessary F-bombs. Thus the 4 stars for the story.
Alison Campbell is my favorite female narrator.

Historia
In December 2017 the famous porn star August Ames committed suicide in a park in the Conejo Valley. It happened a day after she’d been the victim of a pile-on, via Twitter, by fellow porn professionals - punishment for her tweeting something deemed homophobic. A month later, August’s husband, Kevin, connected with Jon Ronson to tell the story of how Twitter bullying killed his wife. What neither Kevin nor Ronson realized was that Ronson would soon hear rumors and secrets hinting at a very different story - something mysterious and unexpected and terrible.

Heartbreaking story.
Revisado: 01-24-19
It's hard to put words to how this book made me feel. Sad, heartbroken, wondering.
It made me look at this industry differently than before I listened to the audio version. I liked having the author do the reading with the interviews being real. I do think this was well done.

Historia
When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity. Cloning, feel-good drugs, anti-aging programs, and total social control through politics, programming, and media: has Aldous Huxley accurately predicted our future? With a storyteller's genius, he weaves these ethical controversies in a compelling narrative that dawns in the year 632 A.F. (After Ford, the deity). When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity.

Not for me
Revisado: 08-27-18
I'm not sure why this is considered a classic. I didn't like anything about this book. It might have been different if I had read it instead of listening to it but I won't be buying it to find out.

Historia
Lacey Terwilliger's shock and humiliation over her husband's philandering prompt her to add some bonus material to Mike's company newsletter: stunning Technicolor descriptions of the special brand of "administrative support" his receptionist gives him. The detailed mass e-mail to Mike's family, friends, and clients blows up in her face, and before one can say "instant urban legend", Lacey has become the pariah of her small Kentucky town and a media punch line....

Loved this book
Revisado: 08-27-18
Other than being a little more sexually explicit than I like, I absolutely loved this book. I walk with earphones while listening & found myself laughing outloud a lot. I thought the writer & the narrator were fantastic. I hope there are more books from this author & narrator combination. The plot was fun, funny, and thought provoking. Great book.

Loved this audible book
Revisado: 09-13-17
I absolutely loved this book. The story and the narration were so good. A lot of history I didn't know about what happened to Italy during the war. It left me with sort of a bittersweet feeling. So good.

Good but not my favorite Coffee House book.
Revisado: 05-30-15
I love the Coffee House Books but this was my least favorite. I had a hard time keeping my focus. The story was a little too contrived for my taste. However, the ending was what I had hoped for. I love the characters. Looking forward to the next book.
