Why Jim Dale?
Revisado: 12-30-20
Okay, I LOVE Harry Potter story's. But you really had to pick Jim Dale didn't you? I don't mean to offend or anything, the story is great it is just… the voice. The girls voice are like "Haarryy" and boys like "Harrie". In my opinion, "Voldemor" as Jim Dale pernounces is a fine voice. If I mad Audible I'd make a Cursed Child and by Launa Quintal.

Historia
In the year 2045, reality is an ugly place. The only time Wade Watts really feels alive is when he’s jacked into the OASIS, a vast virtual world where most of humanity spends their days. When the eccentric creator of the OASIS dies, he leaves behind a series of fiendish puzzles, based on his obsession with the pop culture of decades past. Whoever is first to solve them will inherit his vast fortune—and control of the OASIS itself.

SO well done
Revisado: 05-02-15
Will Wheaton was great! Also I'm not hugely into video games (my husband got me to read this) but I really enjoyed it. The story is excellent.

Historia
Before the Great Wars and the Old Race of Man, there was a world populated by different beings: elves, demons, faeries, and the like. The Elves and the Demons constantly fought each other, until the Elves finally imprisoned them with the enchanted tree called the Ellcrys. Thousands of years later the Ellcrys still survives and still keeps the Demons imprisoned within the Spell of Forbidding, but not for much longer, the Ellcrys is dying.

Reader is overly dramatic
Revisado: 04-23-15
He reminds me of a pastor delivering a sermon. It actually is making it difficult to get into the story.

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Stick with it
Revisado: 04-23-15
I started this book about a month ago, got about an hour in and decided I couldn't relate to the main character- that she was a complete psycho- and quit. I came back to it recently (honestly because I'd run out of credits and had already purchase this) and tried to stick it out. It's really good! You may necessarily identify with the main characters even in the end, but you do come to understand them. I was definitely on the edge of my seat, even sneaking a few seconds on bathroom breaks at work for the last 6 hours. Really got into the mystery of it all. Very well-written.

Historia
Three hundred years after the events of the Mistborn trilogy, Scadrial is now on the verge of modernity, with railroads to supplement the canals, electric lighting in the streets and the homes of the wealthy, and the first steel-framed skyscrapers racing for the clouds.Kelsier, Vin, Elend, Sazed, Spook, and the rest are now part of history—or religion. Yet the old magics of Allomancy and Feruchemy continue to play a role in this reborn world....

Not as good as the original series...
Revisado: 04-18-15
...but it has potential. The feel is COMPLETELY different, although I like how we get a perspective from people 300 years from the original series and how they view the events as part of their religion. Most of the book seemed kind of anticlimactic. I got the feeling through the whole story that there was a larger issue than the one presented- the Vanishers stealing cargo, etc. It was a little disappointing when that ended up being the whole story, but I may have just been used to the long sagas from the original series. The end, though, was pretty good and left me interested in reading the next one when it comes out.

Historia
For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.

Still listening but...
Revisado: 03-12-15
The story is pretty good, which is why I'm still listening. I really don't care for the performance. The way he voices Vin makes her sound breathy and afraid. It doesn't match at all the impression I have of her- her self-sufficiency, strength, and cunning. Instead, she sounds more like how I would expect a simpering noblewoman to sound. The way he voices Kelsier makes him sound old and surly with no sense of humor, which is definitely inconsistent with his personality. It really does take something away from the story.
