Nothing new here
Revisado: 10-19-24
The book was fine, but there was no new information, just a rehashing of other people's work. If you haven't explored personality types at all, this might be a good starting place.

Everything a short story should be!
Revisado: 09-21-24
There's nothing like well written short fiction. It's not an easy task to pack a punch with a minimum of words, but Cyril Hare a.k.a. Alfred Alexander Gordon Clark does exactly that with a nice twist at the end of this clever story.
The narrator does an excellent job.

Sound effects were distracting
Revisado: 05-17-24
Although the narration was excellent, I found the extra bells and whistles very distracting. For others it may be a plus.
The story was okay overall.

Historia
The assumptions and obsessions that control our daily lives are explored in tantalizing detail by master novelist John Updike in this wise, witty, sexy story. Harry Angstrom - known to all as Rabbit, one of America's most famous literary characters - finds his dreary life shattered by the infidelity of his wife. How he resolves - or further complicates - his problems makes a compelling listen.

Awful
Revisado: 03-30-23
There is nothing I liked about this novel. The only plus was that the narrator spoke clearly, and I was able speed it up enough to get through it quickly. Rabbit Angstrom is repulsive, and none of the other characters are very likeable.

Robertson Dean's narration is absolute perfection and brought Jack London's stories to life. I was pulled into the stories from the first word. Bravo!

Great text but not as an audiobook
Revisado: 07-07-22
This would work better for me as a print book from which I could sit with one section each day. The material is very good, but it is difficult for me to reflect on each teaching this format.

The speed continuously changed and the story skipped around. I went for my usual 90-minute walk with 11 hours left. By the time I returned home, the book was at the end. Some chapters repeated more than once.
