This book in audio form drew me in. At times the situation seemed improbable but eventually made sense. A lot of pondering by the main character on multiple layers. I eventually couldn't put it down.

If you love Louise Penny's Gamache series this will disappoint. First half of book is not great. I almost returned it several times. It took too long for basis of plot to develop. Second half had a better pace. The narration was poor. it put me to sleep a few times, maybe reading is better. Wish I had waited to borrow from my local library.

The very end was a little odd as if it was not part of the original draft but eventually it all worked together.
