Historia
John Kretschmer is sailing’s practical philosopher - as much a doer as a thinker. And that is the overarching theme of this chronicle of a sailing life. Often amusing, sometimes poignant, occasionally terrifying but always inspiring, his deeply personal account is a welcome reminder of the good life waiting at sea. With hundreds of thousands of nautical miles under his keel, John’s adventures have taken him several times around the world.

Science fiction? Nope.
Revisado: 10-23-18
Romance meets author's political agenda stretched over a thin and uninteresting science fiction frame, set, rather coincidently, in space.

PERFORMANCE RUINED BY HORRIBLE BACKGROUND MUZAK
Revisado: 10-22-18
I'm a fan of Connelley's audio books, UNTIL THIS ONE! The irritating, boring, repetitive background "mood" noise has ruined it. Shame on whoever had this DUMB idea to add a soundtrack behind the reader. GAG ! ! !

Since the days of conquistador Hernán Cortés, rumors have circulated about a lost city of immense wealth hidden somewhere in the Honduran interior, called the White City or the Lost City of the Monkey God. Hideous tropical parasites - NOT lost cities!
Revisado: 01-22-17
What would have made The Lost City of the Monkey God better?
If it had really been about Ciudad Blanca, or whatever.
Would you ever listen to anything by Douglas Preston again?
NO
What didn’t you like about Bill Mumy’s performance?
Nothing. Sophomoric at best.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Yes, if you like detailed descriptions of parasitic diseases. Yech!
Any additional comments?
Others have described what's wrong with this book. Read the negative reviews. Good luck!

Historia
We expect our judges to be honest and wise. Their integrity and impartiality are the bedrock of the entire judicial system. We trust them to ensure fair trials, to protect the rights of all litigants, to punish those who do wrong, and to oversee the orderly and efficient flow of justice. But what happens when a judge bends the law or takes a bribe? It’s rare, but it happens. Lacy Stoltz is an investigator for the Florida Board on Judicial Conduct. She is a lawyer, not a cop, and it is her job to respond to complaints dealing with judicial misconduct.

HORRIBLE PERFORMANCE !
Revisado: 10-27-16
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I am SO DISSAPOINTED ! Waited for MONTHS for the next Grisham audible book. When it arrived I bought it immediately, then was horrified by the awful reader! Gratingly irritating voice and laughable characterizations make this book a BOMB for me. I'm returning it.

ACTUALLY MAKES CLINTONS LOOK GOOD BY COMPARISON
Revisado: 07-04-16
Would you try another book from Gary J. Byrne and/or Brian Troxell?
NO. I DON'T LIKE THE CLINTONS but this lame, self-serving and amateurish book makes them look good by comparison..
What was most disappointing about Gary J. Byrne’s story?
It's all about HIM. Who cares?
What didn’t you like about Brian Troxell’s performance?
He tried, but the book is just TOOOO bad to save.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
NONE. It's in the trash.
