What do you think the narrator could have done better?
The primary narrator, Ron McLarty, was excellent, as always. However, the female narrations were forced and unpersuasive. Too often off on her pacing and emphasis. I was left wondering if the two narrators were even in the studio at the same time, and was forced to conclude that they were not.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
A very tightly written and truly enjoyable crime thriller with a very satisfying ending. Even with the weak direction/editing and the weak female narration, I did not want it to end. I give David Baldacci and the male narrator, Ron McLarty, 5 stars for Memory Man; Otherwise, its a 2 1/2 to 3 Star performance, certainly not more. A shame that mediocre direction/editing and female narration were allowed to compromise such a sold piece of writing.
Any additional comments?
Who ever handled the directing/editing of this performance certainly underperformed. The voices would abruptly "jump around" and lacked a comfortable flow. Voiceovers were poorly inserted, abrupt and amateurish. And narrators' breaks and "do overs" were all too apparent to the point of irritation.

It seems like it might be a good story, but this is only an ABRIDGED version. It suffers as a result. Even worse (much worse), the reader is frankly terible. I was disappointed.
