It’s perfect. The story, narration, chemistry… it’s all flawless. Kate Reading and Loretta Chase are a perfect duo. I’ve listened and read this book several times and it never disappoints.

A great stand alone novel but even better in the series. So fun to see familiar characters as they mature and the enduring relationships. MJ Wells does a fantastic job in narrating. A worthy listen for any fan of historical romance.

Enjoyable and well performed 3rd book

As usually, Justine Eyre does a fantastic job in narrating. Enjoyable read with a few twists and turns. Sets the reader up nicely for the fourth book. Overall well written and narrated.

Lisa Kleypas at her best

I truly enjoy all of her books. I actually read this series after Devil in Spring. I typically hate reading books out of order, but In this case I enjoyed knowing that Sebastian would redeem his scoundrel ways. Fantastic book and series regardless of the order.

Enjoyable historic romance with twists and turns

This was my first book from this author and it was very enjoyable. The story line wasn’t your typical historical romance angst. Especially where different social classes are concerned. The characters were flawed and relatable. The book had drama, comedy, and some tragedy. Mary Jane Wells is a FABULOUS narrator/performer! 👍🏻👍🏻

Sweet historical romance

The Smythe-Smith series is a sweet and at times comical romance series. Just like heaven is the first installment and sets the stage for the series. While it is not my favorite of the series, it is an enjoyable read. Both H/H are very likeable and there is no angst ( a ++++ IMO).
