Wonderful book

The stories in this book are colorful, humorous, and provide a snapshot of growing up in Wales. And as a Welsh language student, I found this book very helpful in increasing my vocabulary. The only complaint I have is that the last chapter is missing from the audiobook! Luckily, I also purchased the ebook, so did get to read about the UFOs! Diolch yn fawr.

I listened to David's book while on my morning walks, and had to stop a number of times because I'm not in good enough shape to laugh AND climb a hill. This was a 100% enjoyable experience.

James Cameron Stewart was absolutely a joy to listen to. This book has wall to wall difficult to pronounce Welsh names and he nailed each and every one. Oh, and the stories are great, too!

Like thousands around the world, I’m learning the Welsh language. If you are, too, you absolutely need to listen to this. This is exciting, riveting listening! And I learned so much. I’ve jotted down names and places and events to go back and research later. This book is a gold mine of modern Welsh history. A big thanks to the author and all of the narrators.

Changed my mind completely

As a dedicated Welsh fan, I have always disliked Joe Marler. However, after listening to Joe tell his story in such an engaging, funny, and even touching way, I dislike him a lot less. I even like his voice. He did a great job narrating the book. I highly recommend this book to any sport fan, but especially any rugby fan.
