Historia
Unlike most relationship counselors, Dr. Pransky doesn't recommend "working" on a relationship. In this book, he challenges everything you thought you knew about how to be happy with your partner. Each chapter exposes a popular but destructive misconception about relationships and provides a new understanding that can give troubled couples the fresh start they need.

Historia
Healthy boundaries. We all know we should have them - in order to achieve work/life balance, cope with toxic people, and enjoy rewarding relationships with partners, friends, and family. But what do "healthy boundaries" really mean - and how can we successfully express our needs, say "no", and be assertive without offending others? Licensed counselor, sought-after relationship expert, and one of the most influential therapists on Instagram Nedra Glover Tawwab demystifies this complex topic for today's world.

Foundational to Self Actualizatiom
Revisado: 04-26-21
1st I love hearing the author read their own work, it gives it personality and a direct voice to the body of work.
Very articulate w/o droning...the author always defines and offers examples without overly relying on them.
Nedra brought words and actionable understanding to many experiences, I've had or witnessed. She lays out the emotional terrain, and models empathy along with assertiveness and self honesty.
I've shared with my immediate family and friends.

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

best fantasy fiction I've ever read
Revisado: 10-17-18
the descriptives emerses you in landscape, the tone penetrates emotions deeply and complexly. the anti-fairy tale, anti- hero, heroic fairytale...that grounds the world into deep roots. it's thorough answering many questions, while leaving painful tantalizing gaps of knowledge. it's retrospective while present. Fills you with a wonder that only children have in first discovering a world and trying to understand it. The narrator was outstanding.

redundant
Revisado: 05-23-18
After the first chapter the narrative gets really cyclical. It's as if the book about sorry telling, is telling you about telling stories, but using a allot of stories. If you read one chapter, you've read the book. the rest is flavors of creating emotional reactions to your story I just don't feel a whole a book was needed.
