Ugh! That is a nice way to say how I felt about this book. When I began listening to it, I thought I would continue and give it a fair chance. I listened for 8 hours, but it felt like I was enduring the complaints of a whiny 8-year-old girl. (For 8 hours!) The storyline was not good at all. At one point, the whiny 8-year-old-sounding narrator said, "I'm not crazy" at least 25 times over and over. It may have been more, but I fast-forwarded it by a minute. I really did give it a try, but I did not listen to the other two books. I could not finish the first one. I plan on returning it. So for the love of all things good, don't waste your money or credit on this trilogy. Not unless you like listening to whiny 8-year-old girls.

Just as good as Molly Harper's other half moon hollow books. And Amanda Ronconi did a great job as well. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible Writing.

All I have to say is if I ever hear "Ooooh, myyyyy" again I will puke!

Don't waste your time the writing is awful, it is even worst than writing is for porn.

Somewhere In The Middle

The author of these four stories is the same author of Life of Pi, and Beatrice and Virgil, both very good books. This book has 4 stories, two of which I enjoy and two others that were so, so. If you are looking for a short book, this book would be OK. Don't expect the same kind of writing he did on his two books I mentioned early. The last story I did chuckled a lot.

Dull beginning, Predictable ending

I thought the story was never going to get started. I almost quit before the story started to finally began to unfold.. All I have to say is if you listen to this story you better be ready to tap, tap, tap, banana. Trust me don't waste your credit or time.

I know there has been a lot of reviews over the movie Life of Pi. However, I really do enjoy reading Yann Martel works. I must say, I was totally shocked at the ending of the book. Onced it ended, I thought how much it was written in a similar form of Virgel and Betrice. A bit disturbing, yet the story is very interesting and keeps the listener involved. Well worth the time to listen to. If you get a chance listen to Virgel and Betrice, of the two books it is the better one.

Don't Read If Your An Adult, It's Annoying!

Would you try another book from Andy Griffiths and/or Stig Wemyss?

No, I would not. However, I will recommend them to my students in 5th grade. Kids are sure to love his wacky writing and sense of humor.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Not sure at this point. I have a lot of books I want to listen to and read. Thinking about a classic like "The Wizard of Oz" or "Gone With The Wind".

Which character – as performed by Stig Wemyss – was your favorite?

None really, I thought the boy was a brat.

Do you think Just Annoying! needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No, but there is. However, if I was a 5th grader I would love any follow up books because, that is the type of hummor kids like.

I only got this book to see if I wanted to recommend it to my students. For a quick, fun read for kids its a decent book.

New Favorite Book

Where does Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is among the very top.

What did you like best about this story?

I like how the story draws you in the moment you look at the cover. There are also so many twist and turns in the story, that just when you think you have it figured out, you don't.

What does Jesse Bernstein bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

You can relate to him as a young teenage boy.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, a bit long for that, but I did listen to it every chance I had.

Any additional comments?

There is some cussing in the book. I really wanted to share the book and the audio to my 5th grade class was unable to, due to the cussing. So, I am doing the next best thing and reading it aloud to them from my Kindle and skipping the cuss words. This book feels like the Lightning Thief or Harry Potter books. Kids are sure to love it. Just wish the cussing had been left out.
