A thrilling thriller!!!
Revisado: 10-31-19
This was such a great book, first off the narration was so on point, and with the detail provided by the author I was never short on having a vivid picture in my mind of what was happening!
The plot line was so incredibly sad but I couldn't stop listening! The summary is slightly misleading, I thought the past case and the present case were going to be somehow related, like same killer or something, but they are related in a more metaphorical way, and the events surrounding the present dredge up the trauma of the past, leading the girls to new horrifying discoveries about the tragedy they lived through. I did not predict the twist towards the end about the revelations of the past. I love how it ended! I loved these characters, even though I wanted to shake them silly a couple times, I can actually understand what they were feeling. This is a great book to make you think about our legal system, the death penalty, and the potential for corruption in our communities. I used my credit and it was definitely worth it!!

But for Jane, sex, love, and life have been a series of royal failures. Overall, a big disappointment
Revisado: 10-29-19
I fell in love with the addicted series, I feel like this like us series has progressively got more repetitive and annoying with each book. These characters are billionaires, the world at their disposal, they are supposedly strong and powerful people, who always have each others backs, except they arent and they dont...For such "loyal" people they sure dont stand up for each other, take the grandma calloway, no one stood up for jane or pointed out the danger she was in, no instead Jane went to "get an apology" then let her grandma trash Thatcher the whole time. Take that prick Tony, Price (Daisy's bodyguard) is supposed to be a great guy but he ignores Thatcher's request to uphold Jane's wishes for a different body guard, even though they praise Tony for letting Xander get beat up because that's what he wanted? it doesnt go with their characters personality, also Jane's parents are the most ruthless powerful people and they just let people put their daughter in danger and do nothing? none of this fits with the incredible character line that grew in the addicted calloway series. Which leads me to believe the authors are running out of ideas so they have to create these weak drama lines, that could easily be resolved given the kids money and family strength, but instead draw them out in a pointless and repetitive tangent. Also I'm just done with the media thing. Let's have drama somewhere else. I'm sick of the beyond ridiculous paparazzi, media, fans, and haters. I know that became a huge part of the book, but when you have a series this long, spice it up for goodness sake. Every drama has been around the media since lillys sex addiction was leaked. Idk how they can change things around at this point, I just know after this book I'm about done with the series. The first series had a mix of media and internal problems. I can only imagine the media crapstorm that will be with the three some book coming up. I miss the tight bond between Lilly and her sisters, i miss the heartwrenching emotion from addicted, and relating to the internal battle every character faced. I'm starting to see these kids as the entitled and honestly, stupid kids everyone calls them in the media. THESE CHARACTERS DESERVE BETTER!!!!

Not my favorite of the series
Revisado: 10-25-19
while this book wasnt bad, if you werent as invested with the characters I could easily see how this book would be a boring let down. while I knew these books wouldn't be the addicted series at least the first 2 books had more excitement and turmoil in them. This book was just kind of a let down. I mean the summary for the book literally only touches the first couple hours of the book then that conflict is resolved. theres really no great conflict, I think they tried to make farrow switching jobs the problem but it was honestly just stupid, his whole character was kinda changed for me when he made that switch, and while I I dont agree with how Thatcher handled it, I was like seriously confused and irritated too. then they tried to create something with Farrows EX towards the end and with the porn star but all that too was stupid and kinda pointless. in all the other books the little things or big things all had a purpose, and I just dont see the purpose for alot of the stuff in this book. maybe it will be revealed in a a later book. I will still read this series, but this was a definite let down. at least in the other books when they were in the HEA phase, there was so much emotion behind every scene that the lack of angst wasn't boring! This book was missing a lot of that.

Marrow forever!
Revisado: 10-24-19
I know no book or book couple will ever be able to replace LiLo in my heart, but it is fun and exciting getting to hear their kids stories!
This book was pretty mellow as far as deep emotions compared to the other books, so I'm hoping for something more deep and profound I the next. But that being said it's still a great book! Its honestly all because of the characters, you get so wrapped up in them that, for me at least, you forget to predict the plot so when stuff happens BAM you're shocked and its exciting! I love how open and honest Max and farrow are with each other, they dont hide their actions or their feelings. I'm excited to continue their story in the next book!

Historia
Maximoff Hale is a force of nature. A ship unwilling to be steered. Headstrong, resilient, and wholly responsible - the 22-year-old alpha billionaire can handle his unconventional life. Born into one of the most famous families in the country, his celebrity status began at birth. He is certified American royalty. When he's assigned a new 24/7 bodyguard, he comes face-to-face with the worst case scenario: being attached to the tattooed, MMA-trained, Yale graduate who's known for "going rogue" in the security team - and who fills 1/3 of Maximoff's sexual fantasies.

They're back!
Revisado: 10-19-19
I was so excited when I realized these books started the Calloway kids lives! This was a great start to what i can tell will be an epic love story! I was a little wary because i normally don't enjoy M/M romance books (hard to relate when your straight ) but it was a great listen! I love the narrator's! I love the characters! I didnt see the plot twist at the end and I'm excited. I do have to say im really disappointed in how Lilly and Lo handled the situation with Max and Jane at the end, they should've trusted them, I hope one of the kids gives them a good slap in the face in the next book!
definitely worth the listen! Overall an excellent book!

A life-changing, profound series!
Revisado: 10-19-19
This book was clearly written for us fans! You know how a book ends so suddenly after a HEA and you're like well what happened next, how did they live their lives?! Well with this ending to a greatly profound series, you get all of that. There is a lot less angst in this book, it's basically everything that happens between the end of Rykes story and the epilogue at the end of his book 10 years later, this book is the 10 years. If you loved this series as much as I did, then this book is worth the time money and tears you will shed! I cant even say anything bad to be honest, even though it may not have been perfect, it was raw, real and touched my heart in a way no other series has!
You would think a group of billionaire stars would be hard to relate to but I related to each character in a way, i understood a lot of what they went through (minus fame and money of course) I would not even blink about recommending a series that starts off with a tale of an alcoholic and sex addict, no shame for enjoying these books so much. I honestly think women everywhere should read these books. While I know these characters arent real, I related to them in a way that I've found myself along the journey thinking what would Lilly do, or Lo or whoever, and channeling them and their strength! This might be an overly cheesy review but listening to these books was a profound experience for me, and I think everyone should stay open minded and see what you might gain from these books!
These books reminded me why I started reading in the first place. Getting lost in another world, then coming back to reality with new insights and outlooks is a journey a book should take you on, mission accomplished for this series.

Everything about Fiona is forbidden. She has dark desires she can't explain. She's beautiful, irresponsible, irresistible. She's my patient. I'm her therapist. I'm past wanting her. Past possessing her. Past bedding her or protecting her. I'm willing to be self-destructive, negligent, brave, audacious, and stronger than I ever believed possible.

I just couldn't understand
Revisado: 10-19-19
let me preface this review by saying I understand what its like to feel out of control, to crave chaos in the presence of boredom, and blame yourself for the sins of others. I understand all that and yet I still couldn't completely understand the main female.
I think this book was trying for sexy chaos and mystery shrouded in dark desires and wanting what you shouldn't. While a part of that was successful, over all it just came across as confusing. there was a lot of inner self reflection from Fiona, right when I thought I understood her actions and her decisions and where she would go next it went the opposite way. at first you might expect this because the character needs go grow, but this pattern continues to almost the very end.
It also left a lot unfinished with her and her previous master, I don't want to spoil it but I wish there had been something either from his pov or a letter or something to explain why he did what he did at the end.
The other problem was there were just too many triggers for me, I thought it would be rough bdsm sex, maybe some blurred lines between a shrink and patient, but I didnt expect the full on rape scene. How her master handled that really upset me. it made it hard to listen to.
I think this book might be good for a specific audience but I would not use a credit on it or money because it's a wild hair if you will be able to handle it or not!

What a great group of characters
Revisado: 10-11-19
you know Ive struggled with this thought through all of these books but I just have to say it, I think out of all the messed up parents in these books, I have the most respect for Jonathan Hale. Greg and Samantha werent as mean as him when we was drinking, but he sure as hell cared a whole hell of a lot more than they did, and its apparent he was fighting his own demons. I would be curious to read a book about his own story. Greg had some redeeming qualities but ultimately he was a work-aholic who had misguided ideas about what was best for everyone when in reality he never took the time to get to know his daughters and therefore should never have presumed to know what's best for them. Ok that rant over, back to the good stuff.
Rike and Daisy's last book here was insanely hard for me to read, I felt like I was reading my life (minus the fame and money) I think they were the most realistic couple. while I give this book a 5, it's not an easy listen. I also have to say as someone struggling with infertility myself, how quickly Daisy got pregnant (yes a year is quickly) kinda pissed me off. That's not completely realistic and I would have enjoyed them taking the story down a different path instead of a cheesy hea, which is what it turned into. Now that all being said i wish real life was like that and these characters have been through alot so I got over it quickly. This book does have some trigger material so tread lightly. But it is a great book. I think what I love about these books is most books are like drama, uncertainty about their relationship, fight, make up, hea boom done. you never get to see the couple grow after they are fully committed to each other. In these books I never wondered if they would break up or when the fight would happen, all the drama came from external sources, they fought it together then we got plenty of scenes of them just happy, you understood by the end why they loved each other, you didnt just have to believe in the fantasy because the book said so, you felt it and grew with them. I would highly reccomend these books! Great listen. Probably the most profound series I have read.

The problem: After being swept into the public eye and battling their addictions, they're not sure what the worst is anymore. Lilly and Lo are my Favorite!!
Revisado: 10-10-19
I'm so happy after so much turmoil and trouble LiLo are finally getting a HEA! Even though there is still more about them in their sisters stories after this, this book made me just so very happy! There were times it made me so angry, angry at their parents, angry at the media, mostly angry at humanity! But through it all they made it! there were some times I wish they had matured Lilly a little bit especially after the baby, but that's just how she is! Cant wait to read the rest of Rose and Daisy stories and see more of LiLo!

I love LiLo!!!!
Revisado: 10-10-19
I love these characters, I just love them more with each book! The direction these books have taken with the media and reality TV show makes me think, it's sad that that's how reality really is, people are really that horrible! I just want Lilly and Lo to get their happily ever after! I didnt follow the authors advice and read this instead of reading Rose and Daisy's stories first but I did that because I feel attached to Lilly and Lo and reading about their story through the others first seemed wrong to me. I kinda wish the author had written the others stories separate somehow. I know why they did it because they are all so intertwined but still, wish there could have been a way!
this is worth credit, money, and the time to read it! I love growing with Lilly and Lo and watching them finally pull their lives together and make it!
