Historia
AD 2028, first contact. Unfortunately for us, the Galactic Alliance only bothered to show up in order to draft Earth into an ongoing - and seemingly unwinnable - war. With a near-immediate conscription and little time to arrange our affairs, humankind was in a blink turned into space-faring soldiers...or, space-faring performers of menial tasks, as our IQs qualified us. 2028 follows two inadvertent heroes, and one anti-hero, into the outer reaches of the space.

Hilariously Imaginative
Revisado: 05-28-21
The only thing that matches the hilarious world the author has created is the narrator’s skill in embodying it. Jason Huza is a master of wild characters that come alive no matter how big or small their role (Delirium Tremens does it beautifully too) They are fleshed out and entertaining, and Heather Jane Rolff gives each a distinct voice and personality. Such a fun and easy listen. Perfect for when you wanna forget the present day.

THIS BOOK IS SO ENTERTAINING!!!
Revisado: 11-02-17
The title does not do this book justice. I was so thoroughly entertained by this book. It had me laughing out loud throughout. The combination of Jeremiah James' narration and the creativity of the book have produced an audiobook that felt like I was listening to a movie. Each character was more engaging than the next. And the story in the end was so touching. I can't say enough good things about it. I can't wait for the next installment of these two unlikely friends.

Historia
New York socialite Caroline Ferriday has her hands full with her post at the French consulate and a new love on the horizon. But Caroline’s world is forever changed when Hitler’s army invades Poland in September 1939—and then sets its sights on France. An ocean away from Caroline, Kasia Kuzmerick, a Polish teenager, senses her carefree youth disappearing as she is drawn deeper into her role as courier for the underground resistance movement. In a tense atmosphere of watchful eyes and suspecting neighbors, one false move can have dire consequences.

Found it hard to root for these characters
Revisado: 10-19-17
Sure, a New York elite who does a lot of charity work and a Polish woman who endured terrible torture at the hands of a Nazi, it should be easy to sympathize and root for them. But each of those characters continued to make such selfish decisions (which I guess they have their reasons), but in the end I didn’t care if their lives ended badly. They had people around them giving them GREAT advice. I wish the women had been strong AND smart.

Historia
Sometimes it takes someone else to show us what we are truly capable of becoming. Suffering from years of violent abuse, Ryan Campbell has learned how to keep people from getting too close. But when you shut yourself off, people get hurt along the way. Never caring much about others, Ryan creates a world in which he doesn't have to feel. When Ryan meets Candace Parker, all of his walls slowly begin to crumble. Not sure of the truth of who she is, he feels his mind is playing tricks on him.

DON'T DO IT!!!!
Revisado: 05-26-16
I've literally never written a review on audible, but this book annoyed me so much that I had to warn you to stay away. The leading girl has no inspiring qualities whatsoever. She's weak, annoyingly apologetic, and incapable of making it through a page without crying. She makes poor poor choices throughout the book that make it so hard to listen to. I kept listening hoping it would get better and in the end she'd somehow redeem herself. She did not. Please don't waste your time on this one. So many better bad boy "romantic" stories.
