Such a great moment of triumph after years of sacrifice for the ghosts. I just wish Toby was the narrator. Maybe they will rerecord now that the rest of the series is done. I'd happily purchase!

Abnett and Longworth have done it again!
I only wish they could do it faster! This series is fantastic. There were moments I thought he was recycling plot points but they turned out to be great twists and a satisfying but tragic ending.

A bit predictable, but love the lore it weaves together
Revisado: 02-14-23
The plot feels like a forced conclusion that contains little of the suspense and twists that were great about the first two books in the series. The characters have settled into their roles and all that's left is the play out the usual march towards the brink of destruction only to be saved by a newfound power. I do appreciate the number of ebbs and flows the plot took. However, when the happy ending and the general path taking you there seem pre ordained, the characters' efforts don't seem to matter much.
Maybe it's just a 40k trope. Overall I enjoyed the trilogy and am grateful for any Mechanicus oriented novels!

The timeline can be hard to follow if you’re not paying attention. More like a collection of flashbacks that might have been better woven into the main storylines, but who’s to say ?

There are a lot of different characters and plotlines to keep straight, but in classic Dan Abnett fashion, the conclusion to them is very satisfying.
He uses seemingly unconnected characters to tie together and give Mechanicus flavor to an epic Titan clash.

Recommend doing some research on the space marine legions (or stopping to do so when referenced). Loved the way this book tied broader canon together and actually furthered the eisenhorn/ravenor saga. Enjoyed the diverse trials faced and battles fought. Hats off to Abnett once again.

Best-selling author Dan Abnett turns his hand to the mighty Space Marines! The war-torn far future is laid bare as Brothers of the Snake follows the exploits of the Iron Snakes Space Marines as they battle against the enemies of mankind. First appearing in the pages of Inferno! magazine, the Iron Snakes Space Marines quickly gathered a loyal following, and now they wage war in a full-blown adventure, battling aliens and heretics as they defend the Imperium.

RECOMMEND READING EISENHORN AND RAVENOR BOOKS FIRST.
My only complaint is the rate at which the story initially introduces characters and jumps between locations in the beginning. It's a lot of names and groups to try and keep straight. Had I read this in book form I don't think it would be an issue, but the transitions are less obvious in audio.
Once acclimated though, it was a classic Dan Abnett conspiracy and turned out to be gripping and epic.
