Wow - so much here
Revisado: 07-27-16
I listened to this on a long car drive and by occasionally rewinding (actually several times so I could really get the point) I understood everything in this audio book. Several times I stopped the car and clipped and notated some points - it was *that* useful.
I loved the examples he used throughout and I especially loved the last 30 mins or so with the steps for writing from the inside out. I listened to that again when I got home.
I can't wait to get started!

Historia
Thomas Nesbitt is a divorced American writer in the midst of a rueful middle age. Living a very private life in Maine - in touch only with his daughter and still trying to reconcile him to the end of a long marriage that he knew was flawed from the outset - he finds his solitude disrupted by the arrival, one wintry morning, of a box postmarked Berlin. The return address on the box - Dussmann - unsettles him completely.

This is why I love Douglas Kennedy
Revisado: 06-09-16
If you could sum up The Moment in three words, what would they be?
Believable, unpredictable, satisfying.
What other book might you compare The Moment to and why?
In terms of enjoyment, I really enjoyed the first Douglas Kennedy book I ever read, which was Temptation. This also had lots of great twists and turns. Five Days was also as good. Douglas Kennedy books never seem to go the way you expect them to. I like that.
What about Jeff Harding and Patience Tomlinson ’s performance did you like?
I really liked hearing each reader perform the voices of the opposite sex.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A lesson in disbelief
Any additional comments?
This book was long, but it was worth my time.

Historia
Barbara Sher shows you how to rediscover the inspired, enthusiastic adventurer you wanted to be before you became the responsible adult you had to be. According to Sher, it's never too late to start over. In fact, midlife is the perfect time to do so, a time when dreams for the future and experiences of the past finally come together. "The second life", as Sher calls it, can be even better than the first. More important, it would have been impossible to make these crucial realizations until now.

Inspiring with reasons
Revisado: 06-08-16
What did you love best about It's Only Too Late If You Don't Start Now?
I really enjoyed how motivational this book was, with reasons for starting now, specifically that life is short, and if you're over 40 it's even shorter.
What did you like best about this story?
It was a great inspiring read with realistic case studies.
What does Barbara Sher bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Barbara Sher has such a great message about being the essence of yourself.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
So many things in this book moved me.
Any additional comments?
I loved the writer's attitude to ageing. We often feel we somehow need permission. She gives it.
