This book is everything you wanted to know and more - Barbra really delivers. It felt like I was having a conversation over coffee with her in that her tone and delivery were so personal. Although it is over 40 hours long I couldn't get enough so I listened to it again. Truly a great read.

This audio book lacks depth and emotion. Unfortunately the author speeds through each chapter as though reading a book report - stating facts without explanation or feeling. There's a lack of emotion and warmth when describing relationships and meaningful events causing the reader to question if there was anything important to the author besides drugs. Overall the book leaves one feeling empty and dissatisfied.

I anxiously waited for this book with such high expectations and I have to say...ALT delivers! And then some. I am not a fashionista by any means and I can count on one hand the number of Vogue magazines I've bought over the years but Mr. Talley's life experiences are so genuinely entertaining from beginning to end. I felt as if I were finally allowed in to the biggest, grandest ball of the season...ALT's celebration of culture, art, fashion, and life itself. Bravo Andre, bravo!
