Not worth listening to
Revisado: 12-14-05
This was a disappointing selection. The material didn't contain any new concepts. It was a series of cuts from interviews with people that have successful businesses. These won't help anyone become successful. Also, they play the same music between each interview cut and it gets extremely annoying.

Historia
He's one of America's most recognizable and acclaimed actors: a star on Broadway, an Oscar nominee for The Aviator, and the only person to ever win Emmys for acting, writing, and directing, during his 11 years on M*A*S*H. Now Alan Alda has written a memoir as elegant, funny, and affecting as his greatest performances.

Alan is a better actor than writer.
Revisado: 11-01-05
This book was OK, but definitely not a must read. The narration (although not Alan) was pretty good. The story itself was a little boring at times though. I'm a big fan of Alan the actor, but I don't care too much for his writing.

Pi's fear, knowledge, and cunning keep him alive until they reach the coast of Mexico, where the tiger disappears into the jungle.

Very good book with excellent narrator.
Revisado: 08-12-05
This book starts off slowly but picks up in the middle and end. The end leaves you scratching your head and dying to know what the author had in mind when writing the story. The narrator does a wonderful job reading this book. Definitely worth listening to.

Historia
Can man live on fast food alone? Morgan Spurlock tried to do just that. For 30 days, he ate nothing but three "squares" a day from McDonald's as part of an investigation into the effects of fast food on American health. The resulting documentary won him resounding applause and a worldwide release that broke box-office records. Audiences were captivated by Spurlock's experiment, during which he gained 25 pounds, his blood pressure skyrocketed, and his libido all but disappeared.

Very Disappointing
Revisado: 07-27-05
I was expecting this book to be about the author's experiences while on his month-long McDonalds only diet. I was totally misled as he barely touched on his month long experiment. This book was eight hours of listening to the author trash everyone from big businesses, television, and government programs regulating the food industry. Mr negativity (my name for the author) tries his best to blame McDonalds, television and the government for all of America's weight problems. He needs to understand that McDonalds is a business that needs to focus on the bottom line and shareholder profits. Getting people to eat their food is their job. Sure, it's not the healthiest of meal choices, but can be a part of someone's diet if consumed in moderation. Obviously, exercise is extremely important in the health of individuals which the author does touch upon. It's not the fault of McDonalds or television companies that too many people in this world don't exercise on a regular basis.
Anyway, the book is not what I expected. I didn't find it humorous as some other reviewers did. If you're looking to listen to eight hours of negativity and blame, I would recommend this book. Otherwise, stay away.

How about a little enthusiasm from the author??
Revisado: 05-24-05
This one was tough to get through. The author was the reader of this book and I couldn't believe his total lack of enthusiasm when reading. It was almost like listening to a robot. If you want an exciting adventure book, check out Shadow Divers.

Disappointing
Revisado: 05-06-05
Upon reading other posted reviews, I was excited to listen to this audiobook. Unfortunately, I couldn't get through it. I just didn't find the content that useful, nor did I find this book much different from any other career advice book.
