Historia
In the course of his work, Debs changed the political scene in America. He established the Socialist Party, and when he ran for president in 1912, he attracted a noticeable percentage of the popular vote. No Socialist politician has been as successful on the national level before or since. Eugene V. Debs: The Life and Legacy of America’s Most Famous Socialist Political Leader chronicles the life and work that made him one of America’s most influential men.

Narrator Uses Bizarre Voices
Revisado: 10-02-22
Decent book overall, I'm glad there's something on Audible about Debs. However, the narrator changes his voice whenever he is reading a Deb quote. He goes up at least half an octave, gets really nasally, and sounds like a 1940s cartoon character. It's extremely distracting, completely unnecessary, disrespectful, and frankly goofy. It adds nothing and takes away a lot. If he just used his normal voice I'd have nothing to complain about, but for some unknown reason he chose to make Debs sound like a joke. Honestly, it makes me question the narrator's intentions.
