Big miss! Hard to finish.

The book gives premise of her assistant coaching but it’s hardly even a part of the story. it was very boring overall imo. It was NOT 13 hour worthy and that is prob why it was boring. She could have done so much more with chatacter development involving the actual baseball team. Not even a mention of any players and interactions until last 2 hours of the book.

Author’s misconception of depression and medication

Absolutely irresponsible and shows clear ignorance of mental health. To suggest that a 15 year old doesn’t need medication for depression is so irresponsible. Do all? Absolutely not. But this conversation between Finn and Halston made me not want to read her books anymore. I quite enjoyed the second book with Andrew and Emilia. No idea why I wasted a credit thinking this book Finn might redeem himself after the mess of the first book. Love Sebastian York but he couldn’t even make this character likable.

Can’t stomach Sadie. She was just gross and Finn no better. He creeped me out from the beginning. Both of them needed a psychiatrist more than each other and to learn what boundaries are. He creeped me out from the start. So pushy.

I loved book #2. I found the story lacking and thought the characters were boring. Not a bad book but nothing turned up the narration speed to get through it quicker. Not my fav narrators. Just ok

Long and drawn out

Book was rather dull. Probably better if condensed to fewer chapters cuz the story doesn’t need over 9 hours to tell. Predictable

Not my favorite.

I like the female narrator. The male narrator isn’t bad, but some dramatic sing-songy lines and that style isn’t for me. Ok story but was boring sometimes. I couldn’t listen to Britt talk negatively about her body for the 100th time in the story.

Hum-drum, Plot??

I thought the story was pretty unexciting, no plot. I didn’t feel the chemistry these characters supposedly had. Narrators were good as usual but still couldn’t wait til it was finished and listened to whole thing given I spent the credit on it.

Loved it at first, then it tanked!

I think the author ran out of ideas when it came to the plot. Had me at first with the romance then was sorry I wasted a credit with the ridiculous reveal. HEA couple couldn’t save depressing feel of this story.
