Tldr; I liked it

The setting, universe, structure of the Ghalian and the council is interesting and I'd love to explore it more. The story is actually really good, despite the 4 stars. What makes it a bit wanting is that Baron tipped his hand way too early, which made the rest a bit frustrating. The wrap was satisfying, but considering the buildup, it was a bit anti climactic, though quite on pare withnwhat one might come to expect from the un-theatrical, businesslike assassin.

The characters are fun and interesting, A bit awkward at times, but the banter brought smiles and a few laughs. Baron got the important bit right, he makes them likeable and you grow to care for them.

There is a bit of lore which is mentioned or barely explored, which would certainly warrent a read, as Baron has created the base of his own universe to play with, which I hope he does.

I almost feel bad about the 4 stars, but that tip or foreshadowing seriously bothered me for the rest of the series.

Moore did a good job on the voices. Varied and immersive, though a few which fell a bit flat,æ. In his defence, that is of course all personal preference, and I've just come off another run through the Wheel of Time with Kramer and Reading, but I've tried not to let them overshadow him.
