the book was great and if you're into film history this book will be great for you! I wouldn't say that this book has much to offer the modern filmmaker besides a great history lesson on the way things used to be.

This book had very little to do with writing and a lot to do with selling a screenplay. I have no problem with a book that teaches you the business side of screenwriting, but I feel this book failed at even doing that. Let me just save you the $5 and fill you in on the authors big secret. Kiss a ton off a$$, lie and fake your way to selling your script. That pretty much sums up the book.
