The story was just okay, but wasn’t one that was in my top ten. However, the plot was very different than most I’ve read !

World War II Italian Love Story

I struggle with a title or category! This is one of those novels that touch your heart like “Gone with the Wind” or some of the great classics. It includes so many different emotions of love, heartbreak, growth, betrayal, and so much more. There is plenty of history for history buffs. There isn’t many books written about the Italian Holocaust, and this one brings it into focus. The author did a lot of research. If you go to her web page she has in-depth “behind the book” stories. She also provides many videos of the places she visited in Italy that are mentioned in the book. I just can’t say enough positive things about this book. It’s a book you will read/listen to over and over to pick up new things you didn’t get before. I would give it six stars if I could. Bravo Bravo !!
