It's not even half of a book as some describe it. I was just getting interested when it ended!

Historia
Ashok Vadal was once a member of the highest caste in all of Lok. As a Protector, he devoted his life to upholding the Law, rooting out those who still practiced the old ways and delivering justice with his ancestor blade Angruvadal. None was more merciless than he in stamping out the lingering belief in gods and demons among the casteless. His brutality was legendary and celebrated. But soon Ashok learned that his life to that point had been a lie. He himself, senior member of the Protector Order, was casteless. He had been nothing more than an unwitting pawn in a political game.

About Time!
Revisado: 05-27-19
I've waited for this sequel for so long. It's great. I've enjoyed his other series, but there is so much more to this series - characters, plot, another world, etc. - than to his other books as fun as they are. I just hope that we don't have to wait so long again for the next installment. Please don't spend so much time on other books. Return to this world now!!

Not As Good ....

Although the last chapter was ok, the previous few were hard-going. I almost didn't finish.

Historia
We all have inner demons. We fight them all the time. Some of us achieve inner peace by coming to terms with them. But how do you come to terms with inner demons that tear free and become outer demons? Eric has been a vampire for nearly a century, and his demons are more than metaphors. While they controlled him, he was the Demon King. Now he has to avoid the monsters in his own mind, as well as angry nobles, fanatical religions, assassins, magi, other vampires, criminal organizations, and more.

I Loved the First 2! The 3rd Was a Waste of Time!
Revisado: 06-09-17
Would you try another book from Garon Whited and/or Sean Runnette?
I wouldn't buy another book by this author without reading the reviews of those who have read it already. I wouldn't start another trilogy by him without all 3 books having been released and knowing that I would enjoy all 3! There is nothing worse than loving the first 2 and then being let down with the 3rd book -- really let down -- as happened this time!
Would you ever listen to anything by Garon Whited again?
Yes, but with the hesitation that I just explained above.
Did Sean Runnette do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
The narrator was fine.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Orb?
I would revise the 3rd book taking out much of it and adding a satisfying ending.

Historia
Anita has never seen Damian, her vampire servant, in such a state. The rising sun doesn't usher in the peaceful death that he desperately needs. Instead, he's being bombarded with violent nightmares and blood sweats. And now, with Damian at his most vulnerable, Anita needs him the most. The vampire who created him, who subjected him to centuries of torture, might be losing control, allowing rogue vampires to run wild and break one of their kind's few strict taboos.

This Book Was A Waste of Time ...
Revisado: 11-06-16
These stories, especially when Edward appears, used to be exciting and thrilling -- and kept you guessing. This story spent almost the whole time discussing Anita's relationships with her lovers, sometimes lovers, former lovers, potential lovers, her bodyguards and Jean Claude's "staff." Only the last hour or so of the story when the "case" was resolved contains a flicker of the expected story. Even worse, the appearance of Edward, who always adds to the excitement, didn't even add to the story. Instead of bothering with this one, re-read one of the earlier stories. Don't bother with this one!
