This book would have been much better if the author had had his manuscript reviewed by a physician and/or TB expert and a historian. I felt myself getting annoyed during the listen about all the inaccuracies clinically and the errors in historical facts discussed. Clearly, he is interested in the topic and personal stories. My feeling is a novel written loosely about Henry and his mother would have been more aligned with his writing skills.

I really learned a lot from listening to this book. I didn’t know much about this aspect of American history and I think learning about it informs today’s American in so many ways. The style of Katz’s writing and the delivery by Barr are excellent as well.

I am having trouble finishing this. I find the authors arguments so ridiculous that I can’t listen any more. It’s sad because I had high hopes for a good listen.

I did not realize how corrupt the Trump & Kushner families were until I listened to this book. Additionally I was unaware how the multiple “public servants” of the Trump administration used the federal government to help themselves and their families to such an extent. Especially, important here is how they did it while telling the gullible amongst the American people the opposite. I think more thought than one chapter is necessary to figure out how to self correct. Once some people get away with self dealing it is difficult to eliminate this as the norm.

There story was very enjoyable keeping with prior books in the series. I thought the narration could have been better since the narrator only had a few accents.

This book really made me think of the real meaning of artificial intelligence. I can’t help but think the ending could have been more inspiring than it was. There were a number of topics about the lives of the people that were never really described making me look to reviews of the book for an explanation. Perhaps this was the literary devise to help us to see how the mind of an AF worked but I wish some details of the world envisioned by the author were revealed.
