Not my favorite Darkover story.

The only reason I was able to finish was due to the narrators skill. There was not mention of snow at all times of the rye at, shadows deep purple due to the Bloody sun.

Great idea, but....

I'm not prejudiced. But the Scarlett O'Hara type, I'll never be hungry again type musings by Dani, got to be trite and made me roll my eyes. Even for a teen who got instantly transitioned to a girl. And I felt like DC and Marvel were both ripped off for characters and plot. And for goodness sakes, why would the Universe give a sex change without a full reproductive system?
I was all for the outrage caused by superheroes doing battle in civilian areas, but in a world with superheroes, I supposed one would be used to it. But seriously? I was placing the particular movie scenes which must have "inspired " certain situations.
