Clearly not up to Clancy's name

Terrible narration.

This is the worst Clancy book I have ever listened to. The narrator made the Op-Center staff seem like their hair was on fire. Voices were all the same, unless foreign, then they growled with an accent.
I hope the last two books are better. I have read or listened to almost every Clancy book, and he’s spinning in his grave over this one. It a word, it sucks.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Nobody with any sense.
What was most disappointing about Peter Straub’s story?
It was long. Long and boring. The story could have been told in approximately 1/4 the number of pages.
How could the performance have been better?
This narrator only had about 3 variations with his voice. The different characters, male and female all sounded alike. It might have been better to just read it straight and not try to do the voices.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Ghost Story?
There are too many to mention.
Any additional comments?
If you're on a deserted island and you need to kill time, it might be worth it. But probably not.
