Historia
Alisa Childers never thought she would question her Christian faith. She was raised in a Christian home, where she had seen her mom and dad feed the hungry, clothe the homeless, and love the outcast. She had witnessed God at work and then had dedicated her own life to leading worship as part of the popular Christian band ZOEgirl. All that was deeply challenged when she met a progressive pastor who called himself a hopeful agnostic. Another Gospel? describes the intellectual journey Alisa took over several years as she wrestled with a series of questions.

Great content and easy to listen to
Revisado: 12-04-22
I would highly recommend this book. I found as an audiobook, it was very easy to listen to, and the content is very applicable for what’s happening in the world today. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and will look to find some other books that she has written.

Historia
For centuries, the story of Adam and Eve has resonated richly through the corridors of art, literature, and theology. But for most moderns, taking it at face value is incongruous. Author John Walton explores the ancient Near Eastern context of Genesis 2-3, creating space for a faithful reading of Scripture along with full engagement with science for a new way forward in the human origins debate.

Thought provoking

A thought provoking take on Adam and Eve. Not sure I agree with all of the logic and conclusions, but it provides a good understanding of how a Christian might believe in evolution and the Bible.

Historia
Throughout his distinguished and unconventional career, engineer-turned-molecular-biologist Douglas Axe has been asking the questions that much of the scientific community would rather silence. Now, he presents his conclusions in this brave and pioneering book. Axe argues that the key to understanding our origin is the "design intuition" - the innate belief held by all humans that tasks we would need knowledge to accomplish can be accomplished only by someone who has that knowledge.

Great perspective
Revisado: 09-23-18
The book has great insights and reminds us that, we even as non-scientist, have the ability to evaluate some of the claims being made.
Some of the more technical arguments were a little harder to follow from an audio perspective.
I would recommend the book though as it has a good approach on evaluating evolution claims.

Do your friends find your faith to be Unbelievable? Conversations matter. Yet, recently, good conversations about faith have been increasingly squeezed out of the public sphere.

Historia
For 30 years, Lynn Wilder, once a tenured faculty member at Brigham Young University, and her family lived in, loved, and promoted the Mormon Church. Then, their son Micah, serving his Mormon mission in Florida, had a revelation: God knew him personally. God loved him. And the Mormon Church did not offer the true gospel. As Lynn tells her story of abandoning the deception of Mormonism to receive God's grace, she gives a rare look into Mormon culture, what it means to grow up Mormon, and why the contrasts between Mormonism and Christianity make all the difference in the world.

This book was well written and easy to listen to.
I thought the author did an excellent job in relaying their personal journey, but also providing details on how the Mormon church is out of sync with true Christianity. I would highly recommend the book for anyone who is interested in investigating Mormonism.
