The first 2 books were great, the 3rd started good but then it almost seemed like the author ran out of fuel and just threw out the entire ending in one chapter that didn't make much sense

Predictable but slightly entertaining

It wasn't awful, I'll give it that. It was a sweet story about a woman protecting her niece the only wag she knows how and finding her strength and chosen family along the way. With that being said, the storyline was super unrealistic with some parts glossed over and others unnecessarily drawn out, the main character is whinier than the 4 year old that witnessed a murder. My biggest gripe though, is that the male love interest is predatorily pushy. He refuses to take no for an answer and continues to pressure, coerce, and cross boundaries without it ever being mentioned or viewed as a problem.

Great witchy story, an easy listen full of the wonderment of magic without getting too overly complex and obnoxious. A little magic, a little romance, a hefty chunk of sweet learning to love and accept love, and a great narrator!
