Historia
Stefan Zweig's memoir, The World of Yesterday, recalls the golden age of prewar Europe - its seeming permanence, its promise and its devastating fall with the onset of two world wars. Zweig's passionate, evocative prose paints a stunning portrait of an era that danced brilliantly on the brink of extinction. It is an unusually humane account of Europe from the closing years of the 19th century through to World War II, seen through the eyes of one of the most famous writers of his era.

doubling the speed kind of fixes the audio.
the story is very interesting especially juxtaposed to current events.

Historia
It’s the end of the world as you've never known it. Join the Librarian as he does his best to make the post-apocalyptic world a better place by protecting the weak, fighting injustice, squaring off against a group of former renaissance fair workers who have established a kingdom in the Rocky Mountains, and so on. Can one man make a difference in the face of such murderous cannibals and super smart bears? Probably not.

Great until you hit book 3
Revisado: 11-15-23
tone of the first two books were wonderful and fun, but once you hit the third book all that just stops. I don't know what happened to him in his writing process but book 3 became a fox news, comment section wet dream. It's a shame too, it was getting into the lore and humor in the first two books but the third one doesn't even seem like it's the same series. Writing stopped being funny and witty and just vindictive and child like. My guess is the author found out who to pander to. Refunded.
