I love Kim on QVC and loved to hear the stories of her life. This book brought me closer to God, closer to myself and closer to 'my calling.' Thank you, Kim, for opening up and sharing your hopes, your dreams, your vulnerabilities and your triumphs with us. You rock, girl!!! <3

Strictly a romance novel

Must Read for Every Patriot

It starts out slow - getting to know who the characters are. But persevere. This is a rivitibg tale. The sacrifices made by those common but extraordinarily men is breathtaking. They gave their all to fight tyranny and carved out the ideal that is America. Every freedom-loving person ahoukd read this book.

Fascinating history, excellent story

The characters come alive in this historical novel. I disagree with the criticism of the male narrator. This is really more Simon's story than it is Judith's. There are actually more male main and secondary characters, which is historically accurate. The narrator is very good, doing accents and voices to distinguish between characters. I truly enjoyed it and will buy more by this author.

Terrifying

Love this whole series

The story is marvelous, as usual. Carola Dunn has created a smart, charming, lovable heroine in Lady Daisy Dalrymple.

Lucy Rayner is a SUPERB reader. She effortlessly moves from character to character, each with their own voice. She does men as well as women and all with their regional accents. She's a pleasure to listen to and makes the story so much easier to follow.

Timeless parable

Wow. Could have been written in 2020. Churchill was right. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Don't teach children the evils of totalitarianism and, in two generations, you can enslave them again.

Great story, mediocre reader

This is my third Joey Mancuso story and I'm buying more. Great story, ending with a twist. This narrator doesn't flow. His delivery is jerk with pauses in the wrong place. But he's not the worst. I'll buy the next book.
