Good fun romantic suspense

It's clean, light, and fun. Don't expect a serious read with this one, but its a nice bit of escapism and I'll be listening to more by this author. She writes suspense well. I found it a bit slow in a few beginning chapters but the buildup to the big reveal was fast paced and fun. I was able to guess much of the answers to our heroines qquestions but its didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story.

Overall the voice actor did a great job with the different voices... I've heard better but definitely heard worse

It wasn't for me.

I didn't find the characters believable, and the story was underwhelming, a real shame because I felt like the plot was unique and could have been fresh and fun. The characters were not fleshed out enough and so they all felt like slight variations of one person, likely the author. Furthermore, because they were not fully given their own personalities, I was bored by them before very long. I was not immersed in the world that this author was trying to create either - location felt like an afterthought. The whole experience was sadly flat and one dimensional for me.

The narrators voice was pleasant.

My least favorite Mary Stewart

Plot was sluggish and bogged down by unnecessarily wordy descriptions. Barely any romance and not much mystery. It counts toward my goal of reading through all of MS's books but this isn't one I'm likely to revisit. Narrator was pleasant.

Story is great but voice narrator cringy

The voice narrator is not my style. He gives his voice inflections at all the wrong times; very distracting and (in my opinion) completely out of sync. Moreover, he sounds like the hollywood 1980sish idea of a brawny soldier - you know the super tough guy with a cigarette hanging out of this mouth, aviators on and high and tight flawless. I can move past that, though in my head Jordans voice was different. I realize that everybody has different tastes but for me, these were huge disappointments since I really reading the book. I am trying to get through the Audible version but his inappropriately placed inflections keep getting in the way.

Really nice with one oversight

This is wonderful! I simply wish the chapters and books had been titled so that finding the passage I want would be easier. But I recommend this.

I found these episodes engaging and easy to learn from. The bite sized sections were a perfect length for this busy mom.

First of all I must say that this story is beautiful and should be listened to multiple times in a person's life - then I need to gush a bit about this particular performance. It's SUCH A TREAT to listen to! Such a wonderful performance.
