Interesting take on the RomCom

Not only is the journey to Hugo & Matt meeting enjoyable, but each man's family story is compelling, as well. This is definitely a couple to root for, and the supporting cast are also charming.

A nice surprise

I jumped into Lock & West completely blind. Initially, I thought it would be a stock YA romance. What I got instead was a surprisingly deep story about trauma, loss, abuse, and learning to trust and love again. While I bristle at all of the criticism Heartstoppers gets, I think that Lock & West is the kind of story I wish I had as a teen.

Another Home Run for Lauren Shippen!

In this deep dive into Caleb and Adam's relationship, this made me miss the excellent podcast, The Bright Sessions (the source material for this story). Watching Caleb and Adam mature and learn to trust themselves and each other fills me tremendous pride. My recommendation before jumping into Infinite Noise is listening to The Bright Sessions first, although honestly, you will likely be able to enjoy this book without that background knowledge.

Fantastic narration, engaging story

White Rabbit grabbed me from almost the very beginning, and held me captive until the end. Rufus Holt is a compelling protagonist, and is buoyed by an interesting supporting cast. For any fans of 2005's Brick, an excellent movie in its own right, you will DEFINITELY enjoy this book!

One of the best adaptations of X-Men I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing!

I cannot throw enough praise at the Mutant Empire! This story took me right back to everything I love about 90s X-Men (despite my preference for Magneto be a reformed villain as he was in the 80s). The action sequences are fantastic, the conclusion is thoroughly satisfying, and the narration is top-notch.

Incredible adaptation!

This audio book had the nearly-impossible task of adapting one of the greatest story arcs in comics. in my opinion, it exceeded my expectations, and even improved on the original text in a few ways.

Interesting take on a mystery novel

Deficient has a bit of a slow start, but once it gets going, it's hard to put down! I found the lead, Alé, to be a good perspective of Achewon Academy. The supporting cast, Kazuki, Yalamba, Gwen, Mixed and even Landon are complex and, ultimately, loveable. I'm looking forward to reading more from Michael Solis.
