Historia
Vampyres don't exist. They absolutely do not exist. At least I didn't think they did 'til I tried to quit smoking and ended up Undead. Who in the hell did I screw over in a former life that my getting healthy equates with dead? Now I'm a Vampyre. Yes, we exist whether we want to or not. However, I have to admit, the perks aren't bad. My girls no longer jiggle, my ass is higher than a kite, and the latest Prada keeps finding its way to my wardrobe.

Enjoyed the story but was put off by having Gus' personality changed from British accented diva to brash, dense minded goofball....

Revisado: 04-29-15
Very very surprised to hear Ms. Gavin slip up a few times while working. Several times I heard her refer to Luis as Louis, and towards the end describing "umpire" dresses! But hey we all make mistakes, and her narration is consistently awesome. Great book,!!!?/

Aminata Diallo is the beguiling heroine of Lawrence Hill's Someone Knows My Name. In it, Hill exquisitely imagines the tale of an 18th-century woman's life, spanning six decades and three continents. The fascinating story that Hill tells is a work of the soul and the imagination. Historia
For someone who’s been alive for two thousand years, Atticus O’Sullivan is a pretty fast runner. Good thing, because he’s being chased by not one but two goddesses of the hunt—Artemis and Diana—for messing with one of their own. Dodging their slings and arrows, Atticus, Granuaile, and his wolfhound, Oberon, are making a mad dash across modern-day Europe to seek help from a friend of the Tuatha Dé Danann. His usual magical option of shifting planes is blocked, so instead of playing hide-and-seek, the game plan is . . . run like hell.

Historia
After a tragic accident scarred her body and destroyed her dreams, Leila never imagined that the worst was still to come: a terrifying ability to channel electricity and to see a person's darkest secrets through a single touch. Leila is doomed to a life of solitude ... until creatures of the night kidnap her, forcing her to reach out with a telepathic distress call to the world's most infamous vampire. Vlad Tepesh inspired the greatest vampire legend of all - but whatever you do, don't call him Dracula.

Excellent choice for a new series...
Revisado: 07-23-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Of course I am biased from reading the Night Huntress series, but for someone who is not familiar with the series, this is a very good "new" beginning. Layla is the focus of the story in the beginning and there is good character development. Tepesh's is also "fleshed out" well with description and background information. And of course, the ending gives promise of more....I am looking forward to a second novel (please?).
What did you like best about this story?
The humor of Jeanine Frost is always a bit ascerbic, but works extremely well with her characters.
What about Tavia Gilbert’s performance did you like?
I can't imagine anyone else doing these characters, her ability to individualize each character's voice and personality is excellent!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I preferred to listen to it in chapter chunks, but a reader who is truly hooked could do it in one sitting!
Any additional comments?
I really like that characters of Bones, Kat, and the others were included and hope they will continue to be in the following books.

Historia
Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, doesn’t care much for witches. Still, he’s about to make nice with the local coven by signing a mutually beneficial nonaggression treaty - when suddenly the witch population in modern-day Tempe, Arizona, quadruples overnight. And the new girls are not just bad, they’re badasses with a dark history on the German side of World War II.

Great follow up to first book!
Revisado: 05-06-12
Would you consider the audio edition of Hexed to be better than the print version?
I can't imagine the story being as richly told if I read it as print. The narration adds SO much to the story!
Who was your favorite character and why?
I LOVE Oberon but the widow is a close second!
What does Luke Daniels bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
personality, humor (wry and/or sarcastic at times), his vocalizations add so much, the reader can tell he is enjoying his work!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
A druid's ilife is never boring...
Any additional comments?
Am thoroughly enjoying the series!

Historia
Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

Great Story, the dog is hilarious!
Revisado: 03-10-12
What did you like best about Hounded? What did you like least?
Luke Daniel's voices for Oberon and the widow are fantastic, the characterization of the the dog is especially entertaining! The introduction of SO many characters was abit hard to follow but it sorts itself out by the end of the book.
What other book might you compare Hounded to and why?
Comparable to Mercy Thompson series by P. Briggs, similar format, dialogue, both very intelligent and witty.
Have you listened to any of Luke Daniels’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
My first time, enjoyed his work!
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
If this were a movie, It would be great! I would go if only to see the dog!!
Any additional comments?
Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Best to read short story "Alpha and Omega" first..
Revisado: 02-07-12
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I would start off the first chapter with more review information so the story is easier to follow in the beginning
What was one of the most memorable moments of Cry Wolf?
Anna's confrontation with Mariposa
Did Holter Graham do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Good use of changing pitch, especially for Taggart.
Do you think Cry Wolf needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
yes, and I read the second book. Looking forward to the third.
Any additional comments?
Would love to read/hear a prequel for Charles and/or Bran.
