Using the acronym "CARESS" as a mnemonic to cover the main points to listen better to anyone, in any circumstances, is clever and effective. This audiobook provides many examples and useful exercises to try as soon as you want. I would recommended this audiobook to anyone who wants to improve their listening skills but is not quite sure where to start.

Wonderful story of a little girl who is sold because her parents can no longer look after her. She evenually becomes a geisha in the hope to reconnect with a man that was kind to her. Throughout her life, she stands by her principles. Great story of great expectations fulfilled and resignation to what cannot be changed.
