Historia
Move Fast and Break Things tells the story of how a small group of libertarian entrepreneurs began in the 1990s to hijack the original decentralized vision of the Internet, in the process creating three monopoly firms - Facebook, Amazon, and Google - that now determine the future of the music, film, television, publishing, and news industries.

Late to the party to read Jonathan Taplin’s book, but his perspective is knowledgeable, and historical overview considered and scholarly. More than just a romp through the history of how we’ve gotten here, he offers a very intelligent series if ideas that suggest a roadmap home to recapturing some of our personal, private and creative artistic integrity.
Great read and well worth your consideration.

Historia
Darrow is a Red, a member of the lowest caste in the color-coded society of the future. Like his fellow Reds, he works all day, believing that he and his people are making the surface of Mars livable for future generations. Yet he spends his life willingly, knowing that his blood and sweat will one day result in a better world for his children. But Darrow and his kind have been betrayed. Soon he discovers that humanity reached the surface generations ago. Vast cities and sprawling parks spread across the planet.

And howl! Great first book! Im looking forward to the next. Great world building and only a couple of missed opportunities. Romance, action heart break and allegiance...the stuff of iconic war stories. Well worth making into a TV series...since movies are dead and decapitated by House Netflix!

This is so simple, smart and possibly one of my favorite books about Hollywood, life, and process. Brian and Ron have made so much great and challenging movies and television that it is not surprising that Brian's open discourse on his process is inspirational. What is particularly impressive is how clean, simple and entertaining this is while hiding any number of important lessons deep in the desert. Enjoy this...but be careful because you may just learn something!
