Great! Best Vietnam story~

This story about Vietnam is probably the better one I’ve read or listened to. My dad was worried I’d be drafted and get killed in Vietnam despite being two years too young for the service. Then came the all volunteer military. Being 70 yo it would have helped me grow up despite the risks involved.

Great! Explains where our rights come from .

This primer has educated me as to where and why my rights as an Amercian come from. The 2k year struggle as well as mis-informed persons as to rights no one else has.

Very good, another view of Vietnam.

Very good . This book is a different point of view than “on the ground” personnel. USAirforce situation of Vietnam and the war why men fight and the difference between men.

Second book I have read-

These two books, True Believer and In the Blood are almost too long and detailed. Both were enjoyable and take some prior knowledge of Seals, military and our place in the Middle East. The author has done a very good job keeping one guessing as what will happen next. Most of all this and other books are for (very) mature readers.

The timelines continue as the lives and past transgressions are slowly buried in the African sun. Many are the things we did as youths that now as older and wiser we would never do. The times, they are a changing-

Excellent! Kept me up too late several nights

The story was excellent, listening to it late into the night and then over into the early hours of the morning caused me to be very tired the next day. Something I should not do, however, knowing something about Africa, the Rift Valley, and having a brother who has been on Safari four times makes me ready to follow along next year when he goes again. Understanding how life is here in America and hearing other’s experiences on Safari in the dark continent has me at least ready for the author’s next installment of adventures in Africa!

Too morbid

Not sure the value of this morbid and depressing book? Usually, there is at least one kernel of value in these stories. The mixing of words within the very eloquent vocabulary required the speed be reduced to appreciate what’s being said and what’s trying to be told. Perhaps another trip through “Jarhead”, will reveal the secret- db

Better being right-

It’s better to be right instituting the roe way past the requirements. Even in civilian world, actions have consequences resulting in visible and invisible consequences. “Trigger Men” explains situations a sniper can be in. The book is more to the point and realistic than most. The narrative is a little hard to audibility understand because of the almost gravely voice tone the narrator uses. In conclusion, a “send it” well worth the time spent listening. db
